I graduated in june 2023 (GNEM) give cat 2023 and scored 75.78%ile ( horrible percentile I know) and now I'm preparing for cat 2024, bhaiya please suggest what should I do.....agar drop liya to total 2 saal ka gap ho jayega.....drop lu ya koi tier 3 clg join karu ?
Hi Yuvraj, firstly it is totally your choice what you really want to do in life.
If you think you really want to do MBA from top- bschools only then you must go for one more year. In interviews you can justify 2 years gap, it wont create much problem.
But before that ask yourself am I ready to go ahead on this journey as this drop will require your hardwork, patience and consistency. You will have to be mentally strong to prepare for 2024.
If the answer is Yes, then definitely take a drop.
Otherwise you can join any college this year and still give your 110% and get top placement.

Your academics are decent, not too good. In this case you should be targeting more bschools like BLACKI, Fms etc. Not just ABC. You stand chances to get admission in ABC but you should expand your horizon and look for more best options for you.
Plus right now your only focus should be to give your 100% in CAT exam & building your profile

Technically it is a gap year but interviewers understand the same and high chances they might not even ask you about it

Definitely if possible, you can join a job.
It is totally on you, what career path you want for yourself.
Also 1 year gap year wont create any problem for you if you are going for CAT 2024

I guess you are preparing for cat 2024.
What you should do is to just focus on cat and get bestttt percentile you can think of. Right now your primary focus should be on best percentile.
Also if you can manage your prep with a job, you can work side by side (this will help you later in interviews or after entering a b school). This is not mandatory.
Alternatively you can do multiple internships, learn some tools, complete some certifications. This would be enough

From personal experience I can tell that you can go in IIM but you will have to work really really hard. I had a student who didn’t know even proper english and now he is iim amritsar.

Bhai tumhare overall academic average hai. 10th ke thoda lower side pe hai.
But overall profile looks decent. With this profile you will have many things to tell in the interviews
