Actually, the first one was a 7.2 then within minutes of 6.6 there’s been a 5.4. There’s been several more reported in Canada Earthquake site and actually USGS has downgraded them so much. It’s disgusting.
USBS down grading should not be happening.

Sounds like the rip is moving southward to the Juan De Fuca plate. A 9.0 magnitude with a tsunami as it grinds under will change the coastline forever; all reclaimed lands will be devoured in an instant. Tacoma and Seattle will be scrubbed clear into the depths of the Pacific. The deep compression may strike Yellowstone caldera triggering a massive blowout.

When I asked God for help to find a living place closer to my job. (He is amazing by the way!)
Not only was it incredibly close but also affordable too!!
Now at the time I was in a relationship with someone. So I put off that apartment.😔 Stupidly I refused so it went to someone else. My relationship fell through. I humbly asked God if it were possible for me to get that same apartment. I left the situation in His hands.
Within the month that very same apartment became available again!!!! I was SO happy 😊!!

Who feels it will depend on depth type and intensity. A deep lateral movement will produce little effect. If it's shallow and a thrust-type quake, it'll be a bad day.

I lived on Vancouver I. for 10+ yrs. and always interested in geography and geology. There are 2 places I found...1 in a highway cut and 1 in a gravel pit where the layers of sand, gravel and rocks of many (glacial) sizes were VERY deep, don't know how deep... but deep glacial deposits...tilted at 45 degrees with a thin layer of topsoil, less than 2 feet deep, on top of the 45 degree layers. There was a catastrophic tilting of the land surface around the end of the last ice age...don't know if it was the whole island or just part, but holy-moly what an event that was!🤪

You do know you can make "special cookies" and not say a word. I have a recipe for those "humans in form only" moochers. Use a LOT of THC. " have the weed sit in warm butter for a few hours to extract the THC out of the buds. A slow cooker works. Before you do that, cook the weed in an oven for about 30 mins to allow the thc to be extracted. Once you are done with having the weed sit in the butter, use a coffee filter or a cheese cloth to strain out the weed from the butter. Once you have your butter, bake away." If you do it right, he'll not know what hit him for a week. Being that high is no fun.
Interesting but I don't think it's a good idea for her to do, since there are children in the house and the risk of them getting one of the cookies would not be good!!!!

I'm so sorry about your family not understanding. That sucks. My niece lives in E. Springfield, OR. I asked her if she had any emergency plans. She said the only plans they have are to grab the dog, get in the car and heading north on I-5. I told her if nothing else, at least have an emergency kit in their car for the three of them and the dog, of food and water and first aid, and a full gas tank. She said, "makes sense. We do have water for our bike rides." 🙄 Hopefully, she'll follow through with that at least. I don't understand the mentality of these people. They've downgraded them to 6.4, 5.4, and 4.7, as of 9:15 pm Central time, btw.

nothing up here in the Kootenays B.C...we are on the fault line called the Columbia Valley Rift. Im on the magma side that is attached to Radium hot Springs to Banff. The Fault line in Canal Flats is under pressure.

Yep the West coast is building up for a big quake. These quakes do not release pressure, if that was the case, why is there a % it could be a precursor for a larger one? East side of Vancouver Island we never feel these quake way out in ocean, not even the 6.5. If/when we do it will be Tsunami time.
