Revenge baby!!! But it was so fun watching Barry and Emmitt perform like the super stars that they were. And as a bonus listening to the best football broadcasters ever. Mr. Pat Summerall and Mr. John Madden.

This was a personal revenge game matchup being that the Lion's eliminated us in the 91 NFC divisional playoffs the year prior to the beginning of our Super Bowl run that began in 92 the year/season that included this win. Besides the loss to the Niners in the 94 NFC championship game, the Detroit loss/game in 91 was the only other defeat Dallas had from 91 to 95. Absolutely amazing

Very true. Despite the loss to Detroit in the '91 playoffs, Dallas had the makings, even during that year, of a championship team. They handed archrival Washington their first loss of that season, at RFK in fact. They also went into Soldier Field against my Bears in the playoffs and won. The Lions lost at those same venues by a combined 106-20 during the season. They also lost badly to San Francisco on the road, as well as dropping a road game vs Tampa. Not too take away from Detroit's 12-4 season and great playoff win, but this season was bookended with duds of seasons. They could not build upon that season so it was sort of an anomaly. Dallas actually benefited much more from that playoff game than Detroit did, as it served as a learning experience for the making of a dynasty.

There was one achilles heel that 90s Cowboys defense had and was against the Run N Shoot. But not this day, this was a team of destiny.

You know what I love Barry Sanders I think he was a great talent one of the best of all time but you hear all this crap about Emmitt had this he had that the Cowboys started from the bottom and each year got better and better as a team it's not Emmitts fault that he had a great coach in Jimmy Johnson who knew not only how to coach but to make his players better each year even his stars like Aikman, Irvin, Smith, and Novacek just to name a few it is unreal what Jimmy did in Dallas in a short period of time much respect so to all of Emmitts haters thanks to coach Johnson he did have a better team than Sanders Johnson did make not just the o line the best the whole team give real respect it's all good Barry was one of the best but so was 22 with help from his great coach

Barry was definitely the best and most elusive runner ever, but Emmitt was better at blocking, getting the tough yards, being able to take over games in the second half, and being clutch in the playoffs.
Barry averaged 64.33 yards/game in the playoffs and that’s because he had one good playoff game in 1993 when he rushed for 169 yards against the Packers. He averaged 43.4 yards/game in his other 5 playoff games including a 13 carry, -1 yard performance against the Packers in 1994. Emmitt averaged 93.3 yards/game over 17 playoff games.

Crazy that Dallas had the top defense in '92 but didn't have a single Pro Bowler

I love it how the announcers always say the player hurt his leg or shoulder on a play. The player doesn't hurt himself, he gets hurt by the opposing player.
