oh man, i love 'a discovery of witches' - i was gifted the entire trilogy a few years back and i basically didn't move until i'd finished them all. now that i'm thinking about it... i should probably reread them soon. harry potter as well.
i didn't know there was a tv show for it though - i'm definitely going to have to look into it!!
this year, i'm reading one monster book a week in celebration of october - dracula, frankenstein, the witches, and interview with the vampire. i'm quite excited :'o)
I love Longwood Gardens! I live about 5 hours away on the other side of the state but went there on a long weekend one year and I want to go back so bad!

I was planning on reading more Waiting for Spring by Anashin, but went for Anya's Ghost since they were checked out at my local library. I'm also going to give The Hazel Wood a read, too.
I just watched The Philosopher's Stone and now starting to reread because I feel reading slump sneaking up on me. And over all it's very autumny book

I just finished reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. That book left me traumatized. The book was great but it is very depressing, intense, and heartbreaking. You have to be emotionally strong to read A Little Life. I am currently reading a nonfiction book called Confessions of a Sociopath, A Life Spent Hiding in Plain Sight by M.E.Thomas. It's very interesting and makes me understand the mind of a sociopath. I am almost finished with the book. I can't wait to go book shopping this week. I am going to the Strand bookstore in Manhatthan. I think my next read is The Book Thief or I am the Message by Markus Zusak but who knows. lol : )

Assuming there's not two stories with very similar stories there's an adaptation of A Discovery Of Witches on UK TV currently.
Which is of course on a channel I can't get so I just keep seeing an advert for it thinking "Damnit I wish I could watch that"

I think that the book - discovery of witches sounds so cool but nervous to read since it contains witches and I'm a Christian. Help?
In my personal opinion, I don't think that reading a fictional novel about witches will challenge your faith. The book is not trying to convert you. Read whatever interests you. If you start to read it and it makes you uncomfortable then feel free to stop. Hope that helps!
