@@TeriiTeri Glad I'm not alone on noticing that, been watching him since the original phas days, noticed that he's slowly developed a bit of a toxic attitude towards his chat and streaming in general, not anywhere near as bad as other streamers, but, noticeable, even in vods.
Suppose that's the natural order of streaming, you get sick of chat over time.

to be fair some twitch streamers i watch like twitch chat can be dumb like often times they ask really dumb questions that if they look at the stream it's clearly written right there. So i don't blame people for calling that out or getting annoyed especially backseating or spoiling when clearly asked not to. @@yanghesu

It's fun seeing Domplays running through the laser like a madman and be fine and Insym treating the laser like a disintegrating beam you can never touch.
From Dom i've noticed that laser just follows you once it spots you and once it no longer tracks you the laser is 'patrolling' the side of the room you're in (like it never goes to the window furthest away from you, it has this 'soft tracking' like many enemies in horror games)
i think its more like, since a single mistake will end your run and the fact that bugs happen, it's a super risk to take, like what if it bugs out and it just kills you instantly? or after you leave the window, the laser keeps following you? Like its tracking you still? so many glitches waiting to happen, so he's just playing it safe until bugs get found by others and patched.
I’m pretty sure at the beginning of the game it said that if you see Lucas’ laser that means he couldn’t get into your house. So him being there immediately after the code changes is really just extreme unluckiness😂

I love that the developer watches these streams and actually fixes the game real time. Its kinda cool honestly
He did that for "Welcome to the Game 2" as well, sometimes talking directly (verbally) to the player and sometimes scaring the pants off them because of course he also did the voice acting for the chief villain in the game.

@@embreEmber basically a manchild with a god complex, he makes good games but in WTTG2 he rolled out a patch where he could control peoples games and he would just ruin streamers' runs if they openly criticized him

So, I can confirm that running through the laser as long as the laser isn't head height will not insta-kill you. If the laser touches you, Lucas will aim higher for your head, so you have time to move away before he shoots you. After all, he's a professional, meaning he will always go for headshots if possible, right?

Idk if it's gonna be patched / will be in Nightmare mode, but for me personally it kinda lacks a bit of the welcome to the game progression. Seems to me you'll be doing the same exact thing everytime just with ever increasing density of killers showing up. What I loved about WTTG is that you could invest in upgrades, or do completely optional stuff like the dollmaker questline.
well, i'd imagine that it won't be changed like that. This game is basically a lore game setting up welcome to the game 3. which means that it SHOULD be more simple and easier to beat, which the recent patches made it much easier. This way, Welcome to the game 3 can go back to the increased difficulty and progression, but who knows, the developer can make it anything he wants it to be, we don't know yet.
I think that lack of WTTG progression is why the game is doing so financially well for Adam this time. It's a lot more fun for a casual player than WTTG 1/2 and Scrutinized are.

@@ShaggyDabbyDank Now that I heard that this isn't really WTTG 3 and it's just a "filler" until the real deal releases, I'm not really disappointed anymore, BUT : Let's forget that for a second and think that this WAS WTTG 3, one thing I HATE that devs do is when they water down their games to appease to a more broader audience. Like I get wanting more income for your work in that sense, totally understandable, but as a player it's just like "Ok so you stepped out of your niche to appeal to more people, meaning you reduced the elements of what made this game fun in the first place? Well... guess I'm off to find other IPs then."
That's not how you get new people to play your game, thats how you lose your old playerbase and replacing them with a wave of completely new people that probably won't appreciate most details in your game.
Like it's not gatekeeping, it's rather like let's say in football, people that aren't as fit probably stand no chance in competing, which makes sense because it's a sport, but the UEFA makes a new rule that instead of having to kick the ball, you now just place the ball where you intended your pass / shot / dribble to end up at so a lot more people can play the sport. At that point it's not football anymore, it's an entirely new game. Even the people the change was made for aren't playing the game.
I probably worded that poorly I think, but I hope you get what I mean. Making something appeal to a broader audience is a very fine line. Most of the time it makes the game lose it's identity tho. A game that is made with the intent to be so unforgiving and complicated that you might need to sink hours and hours into it just so you can even understand what you're even failing to do would be a bad candidate for a game that should appeal to more people, because in doing so you'd have to remove most things that made people want to play the game in the first place. It's like "We want to appeal to more people, so we made our horror game less scary." Just makes no sense.
In any case tho, looks like it's not the spiritual successor of WTTG, rather just a "small" filler game / Adams take on Observation Duty, so is ok.
I know it's a long text for a seemingly non-issue. But it's a topic that strucks a nerve for me every time, not just a WTTG issue.

I can't stand horror games but I have some sort of morbid fascination with this. Can't stop watching these streams, and by watching I mean having it playing on a gentle volume in the background while I do other stuff very carefully not looking at the screen.
Gonna be honest, he makes horor games feel less scary and it becomes more "oh hey the ghost/murderer/zombies are trying to kill us."

It would be cool if Mr.Taco chases you from the delivery hallway to your apartment, and/or if Mr.Taco could arrive in the elevator in front of you on your apartment's floor, if and when the Taco timer ticks over while the player is in the hallway.
A fair way to do this is to make the elevator start moving on it's own so that it doesn't require player input, which means the player can know if Mr.Taco is using the elevator.
@@muffinman2546 I'm pretty sure sometimes the elevator is actually on a different floor because I've seen Insym having to wait for the elevator in the middle of a run. But maybe I'm wrong about that idk

I think it randomizes the floor it's on with either a timer or as a reaction to one of the killers leaving your apartment.

@@nieqai idk but i have heard that when welcome to the game 2 came out he'd randomly join streams and make sure they knew if there were bugs happening and he would help fix them to make it fair
@@nieqaihe is a bit mixed. Sometimes he does this sometimes he gets really upset and becomes a jerk, othertimes he just hates certain communities. Like he actively made Welcome to the game 2 harder to play for casuals and made it less immersive by walking through doors, just to stop speed runners from doing speedrun strategies.
He's not always a bad guy when making his games, he does want them to succeed after all. he can just be self centered and greedy.

I think change to code shifting was to make it more like gps or wifi, something that you have to pay attention to but is rare enough to slip your mind. The 4-5min window was too short so you were always checking it, now you might forget to (not with chat tho) and be spooked by Lucas.
Lets goooo!! Its another one! Really fun game but as a viewer, I was also enjoying trying to figure out the algorithms for code times and everything, amazing honestly.
This game is so sick! Also towards the end there were tons of anomalies that I think he was missing due to stress. 😅 I dont think id ever see any if i was playing this game

love this game wish there was more variety tho, like more different voice lines instead of noir being the same every time and more different shade messages (for package especially)
I agree, of course more voice lines makes the mechanics harder to understand and takes more VA work but it would go a long way to making the enemies feel like actual people instead of game mechanics. And for the text, it blows my mind how samey they all are given how easy it is to just write a couple hundred more words.

@@oo_dxxp_oo but didn't needed to stand up. Noir isn't that much of a problem and the amount of times he stood up were a bit too much and cost him a lot of time. For Lucas it's enough to look to the right

So I did purchase the game.
Played Casual first of course, did super well. Made it all the way to the end in one session. 19/7 quota at 3:55AM. Got a message there was a package to be delivered. Decided to go for it. Turned around and a male Noire was in front of the tv. Ok, flashed my light and turned around for 10 seconds, no problem.
Walked out and looked left, there was a female Noire. Okay, no problem. Just walked up, saw head nod, turned around, she said don't move, and I died 4 seconds later. FML.
I swear I didn't move, I think it just killed me because the time went over 4:00AM.
I guess I cam just restart at 3AM because it's casual, but my perfect run noooo. Like my hand was off the mouse. I guess I could've bumped my desk but I really don't think I did.

That timer is crazy. It was like 10:20 10:39 10:58 11:17 I can’t see how you do this without pausing to do timer calculations without chat. The intense play is very entertaining to watch though.

I feel like once you play the game for long enough (say 100-500 hours) you will then be able to unconsciously know when the password changes, kinda like a sixth sense

@@aristology6912that is just Adams style, Adam makes incredibly difficult games but if you follow the rules of it to a T (basically) you will survive, there's times where rng does play a role, like doll maker in wttg 2 but mostly you just need to follow instructions exactly

I'd imagine their function in house is to double up and screw you over when you try to hide from the taco delivery since you're on tight timer and 10s is enough to get tacos delivered.
You absolutely can. I gave turning off the lights a try to try and balance out management between Lucas and the Noir. Unfortunately not long after I learned I wasn't checking for the Noir enough, I got yanked away from the PC and killed by the male Noir

Adam wouldn't let you just turn off all lights and keep them permanently down as a way to keep Taco/Lucas down without draw backs. From my experience Taco and Lucas are less dangerous than Noir since they have indicators of their approach whereas Noir will just casually spawn in and punk you if you don't notice. Still time loss from Lucas and Taco is also significant so its worth to keep a few lights down.
@@bartudundar3193 I didn't give it a try not expecting any drawbacks to be there, I gave it a try to see if I could figure out the fine line of dealing with them, and my timing was off.
I like to keep the light near the tv and the kitchen light off when i think Lucas is about to show up, i can quickly shut off all the other ones when either of them show up

@@dragonfireinfernus336 that's what he says he does, but he doesn't actually turn around, and you can check the spot next to the door where we see him spawn without getting up from the chair anyways :/
@@dragonfireinfernus336 Which he doesn't need to do nearly as often as he is. If the door is locked and the lights are on, male noir has an extremely low chance of being in the apartment. Having the lights on makes Lucas more likely to peek in the window though, so it's players choice between dealing with Male Noir or Lucas. Personally, I keep the lights off while playing so Lucas spawns less since it takes around 45 seconds hiding to get rid of him while it takes 10-15 seconds for Male noir.

'Hack' means there's an extra device (laptop/phone) that _can_ be hacked.

I don't think you need to stay on the cam following a report. I've been moving cams as soon as I send a report (while processing) and not had any issues so far.
I believe it was a double report in the first playthrough that lead you to believe that. I'm not the dev, but it would make sense to me if reporting basically took a snapshot of what was on the camera at the time of sending it, to prevent any issues like this.

when he first looks up right at 1:33:33, you can barely notice the laser on the left of the screen. The video quality was just not feeling like helping either, especially when he does the double-take, because the red laser gets blurred perfectly into the brick walls on the left

I am confused, is he streaming on Twitch or CZcams mainly?
Both well basicly he steams in Twitch while he is streaming he is recording a video for his CZcams so after the stream he stops the record then he upload it to CZcams.
@@Hak-gion6 He's dual streaming to Twitch and CZcams now, so he's doing both while recording videos for his main channel and VOD channel.
