Yeah, we're aware that is his official name. However, we stuck with "Dig Dug" instead. This is because he wasn't referred to as Taizo Hori back then when the Famicom port was released.

I mean I guess it sorta makes sense because he is the "Dig Dug". It is also not as annoying as calling Samus the classic "Metroid".
Also it baffles me that Link is just an assist when honestly I'd figure he would be a fighter, could've just replaced that assist with say a Donkey Kong that throws a barrel.

For a Sachen character, I suggest Little Red Hood due to the game’s infamy. In addition to the little dog from the game, Hell Fighter and Chen (Jurassic Boy) could be helpers.
