They clearly and without a doubt won a penalty and the ref decided against it but 5 minutes later gave the other team a go even though the foul was outside of the box and the player fell over the line after the foul. The decision is based on where the foul is committed not where you fall, or else Neymar would keep rolling 😂.

You’d know that penalty was definitely not a “no doubt penalty” body on body and same with theirs, decision simply didn’t go their way, you aren’t gonna sit there and complain about it. Even their 2nd goal his positioning was so bad, half the goal was open at the near post. If Mo had played im sure he would've saved a pen or 2 and the 2nd goal for sure.

That and his horrible penalty he took. Granted, that never should have been called for a penalty kick, it was definitely a foul, but 15 yards outside box. Shocking officiating near the end.
You lot seem a bit unlucky in that match, but I would say the other team were really up for it and got stuck in hard. Don't like to criticize but Mo is your best keeper. Been great watching you this season. Long live Baiteze.

I can back that... As a player, I hate the "line shift" subs. It helps no one when you sub out 3 players, especially across your midfield, in one go. Totally disrupts the flow of play...and those 3 were your top 4 players on the day (Gibbs in the back gets the other nod).

Agreed. Looked the stronger side out there and definitely played a better technical game, but some selfish play (Ade) and an absolutely bogus awarded pk for the other team well outside the run of play pushed into penalties (which is the stupidest rule I have ever witnessed...two halves of extra time should have been played).
Love to the baiteze squad but this is a testament to the "quality" of this team. Great season but work needs to be done, should have won in 90. Chin up!

From being there on the day I can say i thought it looked flat and low energy. Understand it was hot but to not even look fired up in a cup final was beyond me. Kranz and Sheri are SERIOUSSSS problems. I’d hate to play them

Unlucky. Some unfortunate calls by the refs took this game to pens. Shaka definitely got fouled in the box, Teniola didn't look offsides, and that foul on Alex was weak.
Nonetheless, it came down to the pens. There's already a consensus in the comments so no need to pour it on more. This just adds to the rivalry. Onward...
It was a foul on Alex...just never a pen because it occurred 10 yards outside the box and the kid just stumbled enough to fall into the box. Absolutely pathetic bait that the ref fell for.
Go and run the line instead of commenting about the assistant referees decisions from your arm chair. You can’t tell from that angle if he was genuinely on or offside.
As soon as Ade missed that penalty (which he shouldn't have taken) the game was lost from then. Football is about fine margins and being clinical if you don't take your opportunities you'll pay for it. Hence why the league season ended the way it did and why this final ended the way that it did. Anyways head up there are some really talented players on this team and you guys will come back stronger next season for sure.👍

Sometimes the better team doesn't win. Shocking how they divided up the fans though...looked like a home game for Brook. They took up the middle over both benches and forced your fans into the corner. That miss by Ade on the pk (that was a miss...horrible take) and then the selfish play that lead to the non-penalty kick (fouled outside the box and the guy just stumbled enough to fall over the line...by the law, that's a free kick outside the box) that Brook got awarded was the highlight shifts of the game.

Tbf alway big up baiteze on for next season but I couldn’t feel the vibe something was different ade normally up for it shouting being the captain , but he seemed quiet didn’t feel right at all but onto next one
Always the "Refs" fault when teams lose a game, game defo lost on terrible penalties.
I mean...it was a winning game with the better team through run of play on the winning side until an incorrect call awarded a team in the dying minutes of the game a penalty to bail them out. A questionable offside call on a response goal after that pk as well as a clear foul inside the box not awarded to Baiteze were hard to ignore that didn't play into the outcome of the game. Not solely, but those 3 calls/non-calls were huge factors in the game (possibly 2 goals for Baiteze and 1 was definitely given for Brook).
