MELLOBLOCCO 2023 | What an experience! The international bouldering meeting

Melloblocco 2023, 5 years have passed and finally the most important climbing festival in Italy starts again!
Melloblocco is an international climbing meeting. Bouldering, rope, yoga, outdoor activities, music and fun characterize these 4 days in Val Masino / Val di Mello.
San Martino, the town where the Melloblocco Village is located, the meeting point of reference, has 300 inhabitants.
In these 4 days it sees from 3 to 5 thousand people transit, stop and enjoy the beauty of these magical valleys.
It was our first time and, what can I say?! We got excited and had fun, met nice and interesting people, climbed and learned a lot of new things.
Not having participated in the previous editions we cannot judge or compare but it was certainly an incredible experience also thanks to the fantastic weather that gave us breathtaking views.
Climbing, experiencing the valley, sharing days of sport, having fun, relaxing, blocking, dancing, this is Melloblocco!
If you've never been there, get ready because the 2024 edition will be even better!

Melloblocco is for everyone
Everyone can participate, from young to old, from World Cup agonists to amateurs. It is a gathering, not a competition, which takes place on the many granite boulders scattered in the magnificent natural scenery of the Val di Mello and Val Masino, among woods and meadows, on the edge of streams and waterfalls.
A meeting where the participants try the steps together with the best specialists in the world, sharing a healthy, vital passion in the open air. Melloblocco does not use structures of any kind and simply enhances what nature has made available. Melloblocco is also attention to how we move in natural environments, because we all have an impact, because even the spaces for adventure and climbing are not infinite and must be preserved. For this reason it was decided not to add any new area to the immense existing bouldering park, to encourage the recovery of a part of the thousands of routes of all difficulties that dot the valley.
