- This month's challenge with the Soap Challenge Club was to try the Teardrop technique. This is quite a tricky cold process soap pour and something I've never tried before, let's see how I get on.

Although my cold process soap making tutorials are of a tutorial nature, they are intended for people who have a good understanding of making cold process soap. The information given is based on what works for me, however, there are lots of variables associated with cold process soap making and I, therefore, take no responsibility for the results achieved when using the techniques or methods explained in these tutorials. Cold process soap involves the necessary use of sodium Hydroxide (lye) which is a very dangerous substance. Before attempting and cold process soap making you should ensure you are fully aware of the lye safety procedures and always wear the correct safety equipment when making soap.

Such a fun soap. Also, I think you are a great ambassador for the soap club challenge. I usually go to their site right after your videos to see the other entries. The variety always astounds me.
That's so kind of you to say @reneehebert6986, thank you so much 😊
When you were assembling this and made the soap shims, I couldn't believe it. You are a soap master and genius. This is unreal!!!
That's so kind of you to say @ChaiLatte13, thank you so much 😊
Wow! You really outdid yourself with this one, Lisa! It is truly spectacular. I was a little leery of the drop colors at first, but man! They turned out to be beautiful together. So pretty. I love how you always manage to turn a little snafu into something even more delightful than it would've been without the mistake.
Thank you so much @janiedillingham3190, that's very kind of you.
You get the Patience Award!!
That's so kind of you to say @jo-annjewett198, thank you so much 😊

I joined the SCC because of you. I am nowhere close to being your level of talent, but you do make it look so easy with your videos. Another beautiful soap.

Hi @alisonbaker1963 thank you so much for your very kind comment 😊
Well done, lovely pink colour, Jennifer (soap artist) made the plasma ghost from ghostbusters, she didnt use a squeeze bottle, i still rather liked it although i thought it looked like buddah. Yours is great, love that long neck, makes it look like its dripping
That's so kind of you to say @CL-kn1rq, thank you so much 😊
AMAZING! I'm blown away at your work.

I have no words. 😍💕 just gorgeous
Hi @loricolwell1470 thank you so much for your very kind comment 😊
I adore that fragrance. Thank you for this.🙂
You're welcome.
I like the skinny drop!
Incredibly cool. I know I am weird, but the drops remind me of my golf clubs. Woods to be exact! 😉 😁. Always trying to find things in art or such. I do that a lot with clouds.
Cheers 👍💕
I can see what you mean about the golf clubs, especially with the drops that are a little off center.
These turned out really cool, I love the teardrop pattern 😊! Thank you for sharing ❤.
That's so kind of you to say @steelersgirl071961, thank you so much 😊
Your drops are perfection! I love that while you made a bit of a misstep, and yes it woke you up in the middle of the night, you didn't get too fussed, you just worked through it. When I grow up as a soapmaker, I want to be like you!❤ Congrats on 2nd place!
Thank you so much @kattaylor9294, that's very kind of you. OOh, I'm not sure if you know something I don't. At this point I don't think the results have been announced (or maybe they have?)
@@IDreamInSoap I saw it somewhere. Maybe your Insta? You had a little badge. Unless it was for a different challenge and I'm just confused.
This is such an absolutely gorgeous labor of love. You did a fantastic job!!! I LOVE this set. Truly inspiring
AW that's lovely to hear, thank you so much @Winterseve86, and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me 😊
I thought both of your tear drops and the frames are awesome, especially this is your first tear drop! Since you're always so well-planned, I thought that the design of the frames was intentional! I love your entry! 🥰💖
That's so kind of you to say @wantingsulax, thank you so much 😊
Congratulations Lisa 🎉.Greatings from France ❤😊
Thank you.
Greetings from England! 😍
Gorgeous, so much work, I don't have the patience to do that
Thank you Patricia, I think we're all different and that's good, if we all liked the same thing then it would get pretty boring.
Wow, great soap love it. Love the colour choices, the colours go really well together. 😊👌🧼
Thank you so much @emmahowells8334, that's very kind of you.
@@IDreamInSoap you're very welcome Lisa. 😊🌹
Oh if we like it! Your soap is gorgeous and the amount of work is staggering but this is not a new thing, Lisa. It boggles the mind 😮 I love the colours, the design is so well thought of and with a full pink frame or not, it is all the same for me, a work of art! Good luck with the challenge and thank you so much for a great video❤🙏😅
Thank you.
We won! 👍👍
Absolutely beautiful fun incredible! You are the best ❤
Thanks!
Wow! How on earth do you come up with these amazing designs. I doubt I’ll ever get there lol but I’m so thrilled watching your videos!

Wow! This one is really gorgeous❤
Thank you! 😊
I love your passion Lisa, it is contagious :)
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you so much for your lovely comment
I just love watching your soapmaking process. These came out quite well--nicely balanced. It was 7 years ago that I saw Holly's Soapmaking video (also for the Soap Challenge Club). At that time I followed her video and tried this technique (no one was framing at the time). I used the funnel pitchers with a long spout for the pour. Thank you Lisa.
Thank you so much, we had to add the frame for the winners category and I think a lot of people use the jugs, that's what was in the tutorial, I just thought squeeze bottles would give better control
Bravo bravo it’s marvelous it’s magic
That's so kind of you to say @margaritaespinoza1745, thank you so much 😊
You are absolutely amazing 🎉
😊😍
😮 Wow, this is an awesome technique. Don't know if I'll be able to attempt, but maybe one day I'll be brave enough. Might watch this a few more times.😂
Really wonderful video, e en without the sound at the.beginning. Thanks ever so much for your videos, always so inspiring. ❤
AW that's lovely to hear, thank you so much @calmkarma1, and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for me 😊

What a beautiful soap. Congratulations on second place for October. You should definitely do very well with this one too.
Thank you so much @catwoman7462, that's very kind of you.
So talented 👏🏼 ✨️ 💖
Thank you so much @dcuevas24, that's very kind of you.
OMG, I love how these turned out! I thought you were going to do a simple square frame, but the "nibbled" effect really elevated it. And the teardrops are so cool!
BTW, can I just say how incredible your soaps are as a product? Chad and I started two of them at the beginning of October (Haunted House and Beetlejuice). We alternate between the two of them throughout the day. A month and a half later, both are still going strong! They might even last us until the end of the year.
Thanks so much Andi and I'm so pleased you like the soaps in real life, often people say you can't make a nice long lasting bar of soap without palm oil, but as you can see that's not the case.
Bravo Soaper!
Thank you so much @richardheinichen8279, that's very kind of you.
Looks amazing ❤
That's so kind of you to say @ratchelmcmahon9175, thank you so much 😊

I love the music you use in your videos. I just don't know who the artists are or where to find it. lol
Congratulations 👏 . I’ve tried a teardrop technique…I think it’s one of the most difficult to do. Yours is perfect, and made even more challenging with the fancy border. Fantastic skills 😍
You're very kind.
It was a head scratcher!
Вы получаете божественные знания и делитесь нами ❤❤❤. Я у вас черпаю силы в этой жизни за что БлагаДарю ❤️❤️❤️

Much head scratching! 😂
Glad you liked it.
Confesso que até eu estava apreensiva mas ficou absolutamente perfeito amei parabéns queria saber quem venceu sectem foto 🇧🇷
Hello Lisa this is beautiful. I love your mastery of all the soaping techniques. I've learned a lot from you. and have purchased an extruder from your shop. I am using a ratio of 60% to 40% , soft oils to hard oils. I had beginner's luck with my first attempt at this design and have been struggling to make it again. Also is it crucial that the soap be poured down the sides and touching the sides as it is poured? Please help.
How do you disperse your neon pigments. I appreciate your advice on dispersing titanium dioxide with the smoothie blender and it works splendidly. I’m just looking for your advice for neons. I love your videos and your soap is the best! Hope you win!
Hi Karen, I do them in exactly the same way. I do a higher amount of oil though as they're so strong, so typically a 1:8 ratio (1 pigment 8 oil)
Rosalie
Beautiful!!!! Did you win?????
Thank you so much, I don't know the results yet, there has been a delay for some reason
What is the name of the soap cutter and where can I buy it? Thanks
HI, it's the Caterpillar from Custom Craft tools
hello. and this all oils makes a soap? where is the soap base??? Please explein
Soap base is made of oils and lye solution. They got mixed to an emulsion state and that is basically what soap is - all that's left to do is decorative work
🍡🧁🍬
Hi @susiebilk9905 thank you so much for your very kind comment 😊
The facecam is really distracting. I had difficulty focusing on the soap making while the facecam was up.
I'm sorry, it's not something I would normally do, but I lost the audio. Thank you for the feedback, just a voiceover is easier, so if a face cam is distracting that's probably good news for me as they are more work to do, so I can just stick to voiceovers if some sort of narration is needed.
