I'm sure your not that bad...Angelina would make any singer feel inadequate, and often does. Yes she is young and can sing anything. What I like about reviewers like yourself...is you can spot greatness and hopefully other Genxers like yourself, will as well. Her fan base initially is predominantly older than shit (I know I'm one of them). Our collective hopes are that Angelina will be a superstar, because that's what Angelina wants to be. So the younger her demographics of her fan base gets, the better chances it will happen. When you think of the quality of the voices of the younger superstars today and the you hear Angelina, it is just significantly different. I believe this video was processed downwardly from the broadcast master by upwardly of -24 LUFS. Note that CZcams can also process a video by -13 to -15 LUFS. The processing appears to have also downgraded a little the dynamic range. Fortunately, a UK sound engineer was able to find a better, not greatly processed, video of this performance. Angelina Jordan could never use autotune, it would kill the emotion. If autotune is used there’s a lack of emotion by nature, autotune flattens out the pitch and harshens the transitions between pitches. When singers opt for heavy autotune on their vocal track, it tends to kill a lot of the emotion that may have been prevalent in the performance. Conversely, when a singer’s voice is ripping with emotion, it’s a good indication that the track hasn’t been autotuned. Angelina Jordan evokes emotion like no other performer in my past, or possible in my future.
I love Angelina Jordan, I was afraid to see her sing that, who is often sing to "show off", and unfortunately it's a no for me, the emotions are not here, that performance is unworthy of her talent.
