Hambledons innings started well with batsmen getting in but not converting to big scores. OTs bowled really well restricting runs. Hambledon were always on the backfoot but made the run chase as hard as possible with tight bowling.

Thought the total might be enough, but the OTs batted well. Oh well first defeat but there is always next week. Loved the little guy umpire. Also a general question i wanted to ask. Are the umpires chosen by the league, and do they receive some form of compensation
The umpires are all panel umpires and are paid each match.
