It's rare to find bands that create such imagery and creativity in their music. Their lyrics are just plain mystical. These guys are talented beyond belief. They came out of nowhere and just threw missiles at everyone's ears. Love HLH!!

It's not just the "stay don't go I'll eat you up I love you so" line, the whole song is based off where the wild things are if you've seen the movie. I loved where the wild things are as a book when I was a kid, the movie as an adult, and now I fckn LOVE this band.. The whole cd is awesome

"Inventions out of sticks and stones" - The houses, the model that Carrol made in the cave, all made of sticks and stones.
"A crown dusted off from beneath the bones." - When they get the scepter and crown for Max, there's a pile of bones which they pull them from.
"A white Liar, protector of our hearts and homes." - Max's white wolf costume. Protecting them, like a King.

Even so, I hope they become even more well known than they are. They came out from nowhere and have caught my attention greatly.
It's really fun to use the CZcams player to listen at customized playback speeds. The verses sound amazing in the original tempo because of the frenetic energy and sense of desperation, however the hook sounds way better and more melancholic at a slightly slower tempo, like around .90x speed.

@Spencer Fort a little late, but if your still interested the effects are computer generated and come from recording programs like Logic Pro and Pro Tools. They're backing tracks. Normally they're put in before the recording process.

@Adamjoe92 no i'm saying singing too. he sounds soo much like a mix of brandon urie(panic) and tyler carter. i don't hear the Johnny craig everyone says, he doesn't make unnecessary grunting noises when singing. like listen to the sower acoustic and tell me he doesn't sound like Brandon Urie.
