James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction Clip "George Lucas"
Which makes me identify with George more! ;-) Particularly on his philosophy of the rebellion against the powers that be.

And now we have the NEW WORLD ORDER !!! just another buch of psychopathic power-mad fools wanting to rule over the people and make us all slaves and take away all our liberties !
And it looks like this covide pass is the first step in there plans !
James Cameron was working as a truck driver when he first saw Star Wars in 1977. He quit his job and turned his skills towards becoming a film maker. I bet he thanked George for inspiring him.
It's incredible to see these two pioneers sitting down together and reflecting on the genre that they helped forge. Amazing.
Dude got so much road strange
He didn't quit his job right then. He spent the next several years reading books on filmmaking he made copies of from the Library while working as a long haul trucker. He talked on Stern about it. He apparently gave himself a college level education in film making just from the library and was able to convince someone to fund his first project just to prove he had chops to shop around at studios.
@@TheGreatPerahia wrong.
@@TheGreatPerahia Right. And beautifully put. 👍
The joy on George's face at 2:42 when someone is quoting the prequels in a good way
Just pause for a moment and savour this George Lucas and James Cameron are in one frame
Sunny Singhi Was just thinking about that. Two amazing filmmaking minds.
I lost my shit when I see Spielberg and Cameron together ... I thought the universe would explode
Way aheada ya
Too much genius in one room!
Yes, it's shocking that a brilliant writer and director like Cameron is sharing the frame with a guy who usually can neither direct nor write.
As soon as I hear George Lucas's voice, I hear Star Wars.
Same, because he is the father of Star Wars
He also helped create that great EU that gave us the best characters ever written.
Nick Murphy l hear rape
ankokukishi he never created the EU.
As soon as I hear George Lucas's voice, I hear Star Wars too.
When I hear Kathleen Kennedy/s voice I hear shit.
Love or hate what Star Wars has become, there is no question George Lucas was one of the most fearless filmmakers who have ever lived. A lot of people hate the prequels but you can't deny he made some very bold choices in those films. It takes guts to not just give the audience more of what they want. He wanted to tell a complete story.
the prequels were watchable. The sequels were not.
@@justayoutuber1906 because of some great british actors like ewan and ian
As for what he wanted to tell, the prequels are brilliant. How he tells it is where there are problems.
So this is how liberty dies… with thunderous applause. Love that quote! Love the prequels , Love you George... You to Jim
RamiFive4Five thanks for your love
RamiFive4Five liberty died under obama
Haha, you're an idiot
Queen jneeuQ Obama created the spy state and investigated his political opposition. He is a fascist
Patriot act was under Bush, and what about watergate dude? Corruptiuon has been around for ages...
Amazing to see two great story tellers sitting opposite each other chatting. Would love to see a film conceptualised by George Lucas and written and directed by James Cameron. I think that could be pretty great.
I wish Lucas could get the rights to Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon and do a real steampunk style film that competes head on with his own creation.
Produced by Spielberg and you got history books.
Seeing as his greatest strength is in creating awesome concepts, and not necessarily directing them, yes, it could be a great project.
Bubblegummonsters "could be pretty great" would be an understatement.😊
I wish Lucas would create a third major Lucasfilm IP, apart from Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
So glad to hear that Cameron knows and cherishes the prequels.
Patrick B He gave a very subtle and warm appreciation of them when asked about The Force Awakens, too. "I have to say I felt that George's group of six films had more innovative visual imagination and this was more a retrenchment to things you had seen".
@Michael McGrath shut up pussy
@Michael McGrath Fuck off, toxic prick.
Imagine if Cameron decided to take on the mantle for Star Wars!
@Michael McGrath Yeah, I'm pretty sure liking Star Wars movies made by George Lucas doesn't disqualify you from being a "real" Star Wars fan.
As a a huge Titanic, Terminator, and Star Wars film, these two guys in an interview together makes my day
Film or fan?
Two sci-fi geniuses on a discussion table.
I only see one genius Cameron and a one hit wonder .
Cameron? One of the worst american directors of all time? lol
Where is Ridley Scott?
crazedmartinez fucking wrong
Yep, Terminator 2 makes him the best director of all time to me
Lucas speaks with intelligence and understands the culture star wars stands within. Thanks George for giving us great stories!
"So this is how liberty dies . . . with thunderous applause."
I read that in the ROTS book a month before the movie premiered May 19, 2005, and I thought it was the best line in all of Star Wars.
Oh, how I miss Geroge Lucas as a filmmaker. One of the boldest and most fearless filmmakers that has ever lived. I wish he did those experimental films he always talked about.
Now the empire owns Star Wars.
Juan2003gtr Episode 1-2 are definitely not masterpieces lol
The empire owns the empire.
@Michael McGrath Fuck off, wanker. The Prequels are legendary, just like the Originals. Disney's Sequel's trilogy is a disaster.
And the empire is crashing itself (and dont have learn from Rome etc) because of shitty ass movies
@Róbert Miklósi well you have no sense of idea in emphasize the character development.
two legends and everything for the world cinemaaaa
You can say whatever you like about the prequels but you can't deny there was great passion behind those films
The same cannot be said of the disney ones
@Michael McGrath Screw you and Rey Palpatine! The Disney trilogy is for idiots
Edward Elric no need to be rude
Joshua Belmont Reese well many people worked on those films I’m sure some had passion
@@jacktheflash8478
On the first one, probably. But by the third, I don't think so.
The music makes me feel like he's giving the speech of the century :D
Two of cinema's greatest story tellers in one room. How is the universe not imploding?
Cameron gets it. He GETS the best part about the prequels. I consider them amazing movies, although not perfect, as no film is perfect. But they are extremely good art IMO. And I always knew someone like Cameron would get it, doesn't surprise me at all.
The themes explored, from the pitfalls of being a control freak, fear of not being able to control things, attachment to abstract things like not wanting to forget a memory. And the themes of populism and the dangers of people giving away their own liberty because of blind faith in the leader. THAT is just amazing.
I only wish they had shown what exactly it IS about Palpatine, that makes the senators trust him so much. WHY is it that like Hitler, Trump or Modi (not that they are all equally bad) lead people to give up their own rights in favour of the leader's power? We know the answer to this. Now give an explanation to why it is the case with Palpatine too. Only thing missing IMO
That being said, these films are far too imaginative to really claim they are "bad movies" because they have SO MUCH good about them. Quite unlike the cash grab trilogy
George Lucas is one of the most underrated human beings of the last 100 years.
2 master directors of our time.
This is why Lucas was and will be the best! History, philosophy are missing from the new Star Wars trilogy. His touch is missing sadly :(
kirschakos exactly!! That was the heart and soul of SW and it isn't the same anymore
Yes Lucas is the soul of SW he knews exactly what is essence of SW and he knew those people he needs to work together to reach this goal.
Igazad van Anna :)
honestly believe it or not there was a touch of philosophy and history in The Force Awakens and Rogue One. TFA resembling the NATO especially the Gulf War of 1990 and R1 simply being Pearl Harbor. Its TLJ where they fucked up. I'm not defending the new trilogy they tried and failed to think like Lucas.
Rogue One was the only film I liked of what Disney produced. TFA wasn't lazy but lackluster and imitating. TLJ, I dont even know wtf is that.
Jonny Wiegmann you are totally pertinent, Lucas had something to say, starting from abrams it's just an echo of what has already been said. But the worse is that it's a bad echo.
I would be highly interested in what George could do nowadays. Can you imagine him doing a film or maybe even a video game? It'd be super cool. Mythical, deep, but approachable, like most of his work.
George Lucas ♥
SledgeNE a love heart for me too?
♥
Brilliant men! Thank you George! Star Wars is Lucas. Lucas is Star Wars.
@Michael McGrath did someone shit in your morning coffee or something fuckface?!
@Michael McGrath with George Lucas there's never a Star War in the first place
James Cameron is Terminator
To a person like myself who is just of fan of movies & the people who make them, it’s just awesome to watch the most talented directors talk about what motivates them to make the movies we love. 👍
Imagine James Cameron directing a Star Wars film!
Im Empathy I haven't liked a film of his since true lies. He like George got to wrapped up in box office and technology and his film's have seriously suffered because of it.
snmcfadden Personally I would disagree but in terms of box office that's a fair point
Epic as fucxxxxx
After seeing this clip I'm now convinced that James is probably the only one who could pull it off, nowadays. Doubt he has the time, nor would he work under the yoke of Ji$ney.
Tsujanryo I don't think Disney is doing an afwul job with it but there's always room for improvement
Star Wars needs you back George...
yes you fool...it does..!
Remember the times when George took full creative control over Star Wars? It was what made him leave filmmaking in the first place. People seem to have bad memory.
Michael McGrath pipe down mate, no one wants to see that sort of language
Michael McGrath it’s also the second time you’ve used that comment on this video, it’s growing a bit stale
Just no
Surely, I can't be the only who wants to walk up to George, hug him and just say I'm sorry. Not for me but for how he was treated with the succession sham of a trilogy
No Egos Here just PURE Love FOR the Art form. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
George Lucas...You are amazing. Thank you for your visions.
The Greatest Filmmaker of all Time & the Greatest Action Director- in one room.
I love George Lucas! And I love the six wonderful films he gave us!
Star Wars died the day he sold it..
This.
fundhund62 Very true. It was part art and part business. The show is dead now with all art. It’s all business not show anymore.
Because of the star wars fans who rather prefer the originals over the prequels because they hated the prequels along with the star wars original trilogy special edition changes and George Lucas and that was in the 2000s and they should be a ashamed of themselves

You dont know what you have, till you lose it...
Now is fucking Disney remakes and sjw!!!
Mew Two I'm fine Disney own star wars I just don't want to see our star wars creator get butcher too much and I like George Lucas original trilogy the prequel trilogy and I like the sequel trilogy and the anthology made by Disney but Kathleen Kennedy need to leave
George Lucas I still sitting in aw when you talk about stuff. I wish you still were making Star Wars. You were like a Father to so many kids just listening to you talk and imagine the Magic and unknown of your worlds... :(
In this day and age, nothing puts a smile to my face more than seeing George Lucas.
2 of the greatest directors that have ever lived. This is gold :)
This is literally a historic interview we are watching. Basically two gods of cinema are speaking together.
This is awesome.Thank you George Lucas for Star Wars. So much love for the Prequels and Originals! Your achievements are outstanding.
This is exactly why George Lucas is the only one who can tell the true story in HIS universe. Everything else is an interpretation. There’s more to it than spaceships and explosions.
Except for Dave Filoni, the only man who can understand Lucas' crazed mind.

George Lucas: "Mostly its..."
*James Cameron interrupts him*
Mostly its what? MOSTLY ITS WHAT?!
PoweredByFlow ...."it's a trap!"
They mostly come out at night... Mostly.
That shit at the end "it has to have immaculate reality even thou its not real" THIS is what disney SW and most other sci-fi these hollywood types dont seem to understand.
We need to see these two make a movie together. *Stat.*
Both of them are great (I personally _prefer_ George because of Star Wars), but I don't think they fit together.
But Lucas isn't making movies anymore
NET Alliance in another time line we got Lucas and Spielberg and who knows maybe Cameron all making a Star Episode for the true episodes 7-9
monokhem ?
Avatar Wars: A Blue Hope
THX 1138 is for me one of if not the most underrated movie of all time it’s truly a masterpiece of sociological structure and what is essentially a police state with its inhabitants being herded and controlled using subtlety which is a fascinating and thought provoking concept it truly shows what cinema is capable of doing
man this two guys have more talent than complete disney factory today.
Well Cameron does.
@@CarlMarxPunk yes but not understimate lucas, he is a genius.
Carl Marx Punk ....
ONly thing more impressive than Star Wars is how George still has a FULL THICK head of hair at the age of 70. That guys has some good genes.
Cameron really didn't understand his point about america being the empire
He didn’t want to hear it
He did. It made sense

2 of my biggest inspirations as an aspiring visual artist. "Immaculate reality", that's what a great artist do especially Science Fiction artists, materialize the dreams into a tangible reality for us to bask into.
Even back in the day people hated George for the prequels, I defended them for how good they are to me. If it wasn't for him and many other creators or films or music or shows that inspired me and many other aspiring creators, we wouldn't have found ourselves. Star Wars films (including VII & VIII) are my main inspirations for storytelling along with many other films or music that help me create my own original plots or adaptations. George Lucas was the main reason why Star Wars got popular, he did the writing and direction behind the scenes. He pulled his own weight and wanted what he made to be what he wanted to see in theaters or in his house, but what really helped was the people around him helping his vision succeed. His wife was the main editor after the horrible editors picked for the first film but because he had people helping him, he became a legend worth praising.
But it was a shame that even he knew people wouldn't look at his prequel series if he directed them and asked for help, but there was one thing all the directors said, 'no', why? Because it was his vision and that he should work for it to see his vision come to life. A cocky move but it's his work, not Spielberg's, David Lynch's or anyone else's, it was a George Lucas original. Plus it was a lesson of self discipline, because the more people bashed on George, the better he made the prequels (the second was alright and felt like a Star Wars film before it got good, by that I meant it had a lot positives and negatives but it was different from the original trilogy because it was in the past) as you could see in the third film. It was my favourite and had great action, great musical score and perfect acting (no matter how bad you think it might be, The Room was a prime example for how to not make a film).
George will always be one of my influences for storytelling and world building, the negatives obviously have to be taken out and figure out what really works and what feels engaging and what feels exciting. Also because of the prequels, I have a love for music in fight scenes that are in sync with each other. Thanks George for starting something incredible.
I am an old-fart sci-fi freak who saw ANEW HOPE in '77 and ALIEN in '79 in theatres (together with other flagships like E.T., GHOSTBUSTERS, INDIANA JONES, TERMINATOR, etc.). Later on, being also a comic book collector and watching this short clip, my mind goes directly to a potential comic book title: ALIENS vs. JEDI: THE CROSSOVER.
P.S.: I really miss the old hype of EMPIRE STRIKES BACK in 1980. I couldn't sleep for days before and after the movie...
Rian Johnson should be strapped to a chair and made to watch and listen to this, Clockwork Orange style.

JJ Abrams**
A great privilege to see, even through media, these two outstanding figures in cinema.
I miss George's ideas in the new movies. A shame to see what SW became. True saga will always be episodes I - VI, the others are just filler.
Rodrigo Silva I'd say disregard I-III. Say what you want about the new SW movies, but nothing can ever come close to the dread of I-III.
assmatronix Hell no! Say what you want about I-III, at least they didn't ruin beloved characters and the arcs they went through. Screwing over Luke the way they did made TLJ is my most hated movie of all time. Nevermind all the other BS that was in that movie. At least the prequels tried to be something good. That's more than I can say for anything VII and VIII did.
IV-VI. Those prequels aren't really Star Wars.
Yes, They are.
I can understand the criticisms of one and two but I thought the third one was pretty good.
Two cinematic legends in the same room. There is a god after all
George Lucas, the reason my childhood was awesome...
seeing this 2 legend in one room is like what they call the best fanservice ever
George Lucas is and was the best story teller of star wars
Lot of money sitting at that table lol
prequels love it omg it
I'm really enjoy those videos. Two main stream filmmakers, talking about subjects their cannot explain in ordinary interviews.
Say what you want about the prequels but they were bad because Lucas wabted to do too much, not because he didn't care about film-making. He tried to do new things and avoided what pretty much every film maker and publisher does, which is to take the safe route and put out generic crap. Disney being a perfect example.
oh man the production is insane! George Lucas contributed to humanity so much through his movies! Well done
It's funny many are saying The Last Jedi is something new and 'different'. But it still has the foundations of the Original Star Wars Trilogy at the end of the day. The Resistance for some reason becomes the Rebellion again and The First Order is once again The Empire. Pretty much by the end of the film it all happens.....Again.
Love George Lucas - Total inspiration ⛩😎🎬🎥
Absolutely amazing
Lucas wrote a piece of dialogue that sums up the human condition:
"Yousa in big doo-doo dis time"
Cameron, Spielberg and Nolan should all collaborate and make a new trilogy of Starwars movies, with Lucas co-writing the story with the Russo Bros.
Raiken Xion hahaha Russo bros.
For sure, i think they could do one hell of a starwars movie, better than what JJ and Rian have done, those guys have no imagination. Im big starwars fan and right now only people i got big respect for are the Russos and Feige.
Now you got me dreaming:)
Yeah the new SW trilogy by them. :D But it is just dream. :( Lucas was never an amazing director but great story teller he always needed good helpers behind him.
no george should be the vision director.
I would love to listen to both of these guys for longer. I respect both of them very much - excellent storytellers and very smart.
James Cameron and George Lucas .... wow
I ser many people complaining about the sequel trilogy as if it betrays those themes and ideas, and while I would say that ep. IX definitely does, VII and VIII, either by design or by accident (I think by accident in VII and by design in VIII), did honor these same ideas. The empire fell but the victory was weak and insufficient, and that allowed for an equally imperialist power (the First Order) to rise very easily; and then the whole story arc with Luke critiquing the role of the Jedi in the fall of the Republic, AND FURTHERMORE, the notion of finally addressing class issues, and how capital is the primary driver of imperialism, it was all just so good. Sad to see it all dropped in IX, but hey, at least Star Wars was good for a few more years...
Wouldn t this crazy if these two creators made film with their styles. 400 opening , 2billion global and 3.5 billion to cap it off
George is and will always be the Man. Salute
The new Disney trilogy makes me love and appreciate the prequels saga now. ( rogue one was good)
Great interview. So many brilliant social points made.
"Nobody can beat Titanic" - George Lucas
ElEternoPoetaLuis Infinity war will
Pretty much these 2, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott are the reason why I love so much SCI FI and CYBERPUNK, thanks you guys.
Thank the Maker!
"We're in the middle of it right now". Very true.
It is so sad how false hatred can lead to a tragedy (of Lucas). He has "failed" because he made so fantastic first trilogy later the fans thought that with the prequels Lucas made a bad decision. I think those fans were ungrateful to Lucas who has decided to show more about the story on the screen. Then he just sold his child (he got tired by the criticism) and now we won't know what would have been the real story of the last Skywalker trilogy. :( One thing is sure by his interviews that we would haven seen more about Skywalkers in ep 7-9. But Disney have thrown out the old ideas.
Anna Sárközi I completely agree. I love the prequels. It was an incredible story and people didn't like it because they didn't play into nostalgia. He told the gritty backstory of politics and failure of government and Jedi.
(Lengthy but read to the end if you can) We know what the real story was. Luke marries an assassin called Mara Jade, originally meant to kill him. Han and Leia have three children, Jaina and Jacen (twins) and Anakin - the empire fractures into small sections - Enter Thrawn to bring it all back together for a final push - fails because he fails to see the traitor right in front of him despite his military genious. Later, Luke founds the Jedi Academy spitting out students both good and bad. Both the bes and worst being Kyp Durron, turned to the dark side, annihilated a few systems before Luke manages to turn him back without killing him. Kyp pays his dues and dedicates his life to make amens - All that crap changes with the arrival of the Yuuzhan Vong - an extra galactial species that the Jedi can't sense by the force.
Chaos insues - the galaxy is enveloped in flame - war rages, the Jedi unite, defeat them, but it costs Jacen Solo his soul (huge parallel here with Kylo Ren) and he becomes Darth Caedus - murders Luke's wife, Mara, and is later defeated by Jaina who trained in combat techniques of the Madalorians with no other than Boba Fett (escaped from the sarlac shortly after ROTJ).
Ben Skywalker, son of Mara and Luke, falls in love with a Sith girl - you can imagine Luke's reaction - and FINISH - because Disney was sold, they threw the canon out, we never got to see the end of that tale, and it was usurped for the pile of trash that was the Last Jedi. Too lazy to write a complex back story for Luke, they were content to have him go into exile for 20+ years because it means they don't have to explain ANYTHING. The expanded universe is the one I accept as Star Wars. I liked the Force Awakens and many promising things happened and I thought the new trilogy, while not amazing, would be good. TLJ was a disaster.
Adam Mold Thanks for the explanation and EU history. Really interesting ! Agree entirely with assessment on TFA and The Last Jedi.
You are most welcome.
I came to this video after watching Andor. It's crazy the stupidity of the criticism of that series when they say "Star Wars was never political." Star Wars was always political, disguised as science fiction (which ironically was able to transform science fiction into a mainstream theme), and entertainment based on the hero's journey. It is too good.
Star Wars will never be the same without him...
@Michael McGrath Uh-huh, must be why ticket sales are down and Disney had to scrap a bunch of their shitty plans. Fuck off.
You can hear the difference in their viewpoints, if you read between the lines. Lucas is all out critical of America, Cameron keeps trying to defend America.
lol yea i noticed this too, James Cameron tries to steer away the conversation from being to critical of American imperialism, slimey tactics lmao
This is amazing for me to see George and James together because Star Wars and Terminator are my favorites Sagas
People can say what they want about Lucas but as soon as Star Wars was sold to Disney, all the magic have faded. Star Wars is dead
Avean dude the prequels were shit. Those 3 first films were special. Unfortunately they've been trying to recapture it and you cannot
The magic started to fade with return of the Jedi. That's the moment the series went from art to a product to be sold to us.
Avean *star wars will never be dead for me*
The magic stopped after ROTS and TCW. They are great stories and both rigbsby and smcfadden are lying if they think otherwise.
Make Star Wars great again!
Prequels were not good yes but he gave me Clone Wars which he was heavily involved but just like in the original trilogy he was just the supervisor and let Dave Filoni and the rest to tell a great story so LUCAS redeemed himself in my eyes!
Jareth Cruz they were great
George!!!!!!!
A person I really adore... His creative mindset with mind-boggling storyline for Star Wars made me realize that Star Wars is more than a movie
I’ve always held appreciation for The Prequels but George Lucas really caught lightning in a bottle with the Original Trilogy. So thankfully, It’s those 3 films that will resonate with people until the end of time.
Yes, and no. The first set of remasters were to keep the footage fresh and crisp. The latter dgital effects in the long run made them more accessible to the new generation of fans. He did it mostly for the money, but they also had a role to play in keeping SW alive during the interim years.....
Not denying that. But it kept it accessible for the younger generation - and all said and done, it was Georges to do with as he pleased. I really think it would have been harder to keep Star Wars going had not those Special Editions came out. Would there still have been an appetite for it in 1999 when Ep1 came out? We'll never know, but they served their purpose.
Thank you for putting quality content and quality philosophy in the story to help people be aware of historical and present topics.
This makes me hate the new movies even more. Instead of the first order suddenly being in charge with no explanation it should have been the rebels were now the government that was struggling with governing a galaxy and there was resistance from certain groups that feel left out of the rebuilding and gather support like a napoleonic figure after the French revolution succeeded
Yes, there's so much that could've been done with the New Republic and new terrorist groups attacking and so on.
AzerGhost16 When Hitler died the Nazi army died as well right? Yes many soldiers and other members survived but they never gain power again! Same with The Empire and The Emperor which is clearly based on.
AzerGhost16
The last jedi was a complete mess filled with sjw propaganda,a dump twilight romance between rey and kylo, and plot holes everywhere so
You shouldn't be taken that film seriously
AzerGhost16
Honestly riam johnson should have be given a solo film like rogue one or something then he could have done whatever the hell he wanted and no one would care but what he did with luke skywalker divided a whole fan base (which is a colossal one)
@Ian Seager ... What? There is literally an explantion for the rise of the First Order in Rise Of Skywalker. Palpatine literally tells Kylo Ren he created Snoke and was the puppet master behind the scenes in which the First Order was able to rise.
imagine if those two had worked together in their prime ...
One life-sized mistake of George Lucas is selling Star Wars to Disney. They immediately discarded all his ideas at once, canceled The Clone Wars series, converted all George's canon into legends and started mass producing shitty shallow movies for quick massive profit on a well established name.
Immaculate reality. I can listen to these two talk about films all day.
Generations yet unborn will recognize George Lucas as the greatest storyteller of our age
Kevin Slater agreed
Yes sir, agreed
Man, what a conversation! Love both these guys.
We're sorry Georges, please come back ! You can put Jar-Jar in your movies if you want, just get this fucking shitshows back on tracks !
I hate the prequels, but I have nothing but respect for George Lucas. I don’t believe he should ever write/direct a Star Wars movie again but it is essential that he is in the room, guiding the studio the right direction with his ideas
Irish Republican Army springs to mind
Legendary Interview, 2 two legends 🤯🗿🍷
Magnificent, wish so much this man had wrote episode 8" and this other guy could or directed it for him,
Ja Ads lol you fans are the guys that screwed him over so bad he sold. He did the best thing for himself, now the world can see doing a star wars movie is no easy task
Dizzy Blu the Star Wars community isn't just one fucking person. Just because a very loud minority of fans hated against him, doesn't mean he and I hated against Geroge Lucas too. Hope you got it now...
Han Solo It was an OVERWHELMING majority. I never said specifically you, I said fans such as yourself since you are obviously a fan. Said fans did this.
The Last Jedi had similarities to Lucas' story treatment for 7 though to be fair. A new female protagonist, young heroes, a disillusioned Luke Skywalker (eventually training students again). The rest, maybe not
