I put on 540 on thanksgiving and some guy who is a fragrance lover new exactly what I had on when he entered the house. It was all over the house and wanted to know who it was and he smelled his way to me. 😂😂
I mixed the original and extrait. I did two sprays of original and one of extrait in my hair( sprayed and walked through it). I like the original for its projection and the extrait for how it smells on the skin. I smell myself when I hug people and I be like damn you smell good but then realized it’s me. This stuff is sooo overpowering that it overtakes others scents.
@@afrabright4929 if you like the way the extrait smells on the skin then why did you spray it in your hair, or does it have the same effect in either location?
Azri sprayed it that way on thanksgiving but experimented it on my skin after

The extrait is definitely my favorite! I’ve worn both, but the extrait is much more entrancing to me 😍 it lingers on me forever and I love the bottle. It is going to be my wedding perfume as we are having a black tie Christmas wedding! Our colors are red and gold, so it goes perfectly.

Yes!! The red bottle is my favorite! I stopped a lady in Sunglass Hut and asked her what she was wearing. I headed straight to Neiman Marcus! Lol. Great fragrance...Compliments galore!

I love the extrait version the most. I can smell the EDP on me but its not as intoxicating as the extrait. The edp smells nice in the dry down like a sweet cookie. I’m getting the extrait next time.

I had to return my Extrait even though it is extremely addicting. After owning for about 2 weeks I noticed there is a note in the dry down that smells like mold. I couldn’t get over it. You make me want to buy it again though 😅

Hello Cheraye! I had the original BR 540 and it totally did the disappearing act- so I got the Extrait and LOVE IT!! I know... it is so hard to shell out he extra $$$ but even the bottle makes me happy. LOL . Thank you for your great reviews. xoxo

I agree, the extrait is more well blended. For me, it’s the saffron note that can be jarring at times and it’s tamed in the extrait.
Same happened to me, btw. 😄Loved the eau de parfum, then sampled the extrait and had to get the travel set. Although I prefer the original, I think the extrait is more versatile. I don’t really wear the eau de parfum when it’s above 50F, but have worn the extrait when the temps were 70(ish)F.
I found your channel a few weeks ago and I love your personality! I was so obsessed with finding this fragrance in store here in Toronto and I ended up loving the Extrait a little more than the original Baccarat Rouge 540. The almond note really enhances it I think! BUT then after 10 mins I went nose blind lol! I couldn't smell the Extrait anymore on my skin BUT I will say, it's the alluring sister to the original. I'm just like you girl, I am obsessed with BOTH! lol! I can see myself wearing them equally for different occasions. I agree with your review. I bought the original and even though I loved it I could not smell on me a minute after. I used it for a week and nothing so I took it back to Neiman’s. The explained they normally don’t return open bottles but because I got the largest they would exchange for another one. They recommended the Extrait which I ended up getting although I had to pay almost $300 more. It’s been a week and I’m happy with the decision but I think I will ask for the original as a Christmas gift since I’ve been watching so many reviews saying it likes to play peekaboo.

Thank you for the giveaway treat ❤️ I would love to have the baccarat 540. I am allergic to 'cheaply' perfume and had bad experience in childhood when somebody sprayed certain fragrance too strong and sat beside me. I could not breath. Since then I never buy any perfume not even a cologne 😂
Recently my friend visited me in Batam (Indonesia) and she asked me to accompany her to a fragrance shop. I was skeptical to see those all bottles and think I will never use any perfume in my life. Suddenly my friend showed me her purchase it's Baccarat 540 and the moment she let me sniffed it, I am in love.
In mean time I am saving money to buy it, but yeah the price is way more than US$ 2 hahaha. If this could be a Christmas present for me, that will be perfect.

I went to Neiman Marcus today to try the 540 and the Extrait. On me the 540 is softer than the Extrait. The Extrait has a more pronounced almond smell but the dry down on both are amazing. I think I’m going to go for the original first and then the Extrait for Xmas 🙈 please give me your stamp of approval on this decision so I can justify getting both 🤣🤣🤣

On my second bottle of MFK BR 540 Extrait... People literally follow me around in stores, loads of compliments by both men and women... I feel a certain way when I wear it, that almond note with the burnt candy smell is awesome...

Love IC as well. For me it’s completely different perfume. Very sexy and a little masculine. But in a good way. I use it evening or cold weather only.
BR540 is more airy in my opinion and can be used any time any weather. Love them both though.

E N T E R M E ! HI Cheraye! I’ve been tempted to follow you previously but I already need someone else’s spare time in life…yet today I bonded with you on this MFK BR540 EXTRAIT!!! You started with the main trouble, $$$. I did pull the trigger the other day and am peering out my window awaiting its arrival. I talked myself into it after utilizing a sample I had ordered and there’s no going back. I’m in love with this as well and I think there’s enough substance to this fragrance to sufficiently keep us all deliriously love crushed for the duration. I love your way of expression and look forward to your views now that we’re tethered on CZcams. I’d love to try Oud Satin Mood as I’ve heard quite a bit of positivity pertaining to it. My husband got me MFK baccarat rouge 540 Extrait De Parfum ( so much more to it imo I hv a huge collection &right now I'm not wearing it but is on 1 of the shelves above my head in its box&i can smell it every now&then )I fell in love with it on a trip abroad &he remembered .this one stays on my skin even after a shower I can smell it on my wrists it's so rich but not overwhelming its warm&sweet but dark too it's SUPER addictive.

So I just found your channel today. Yesterday I was doing a wedding (I’m a makeup artist) for a Bride who’s Brother in Law manages the Baccrat Hotel. Apparently the workers where this perfume and he gifted one to his Mother in Law. When I smelled her on it...I was like WHHAATT IS THAT! She proceeded to tell me the story and then offered me a little spritz. I’m so obsessed I can’t I need it! We don’t have a Neiman Marcus in CLEVELAND so I’d love to smell both. Extrait is better but the original one is more popular. I get my compliments from the extrait not the original but their both good and last all day
The original is more popular because the extrait is more expensive! However, the extrait has more almond scent to it. It is a better and more refine version of Baccarat rouge 540
Both this yesterday my husband asked me how much I said you will love it I got the Extrait at Saks once you have this it’s the cream dela cream ... This is Heaven on Earth .

OMG! I was looking for a new scent for my bday and I stopped in Nieman's and GURRLL she sprayed Extrait on me and I was in love I said no. I am going to lunch why did I go back to purchase didn't even know the price 435!!! This is the most I have ever paid but hunty this scent is just awesome sauce. Love your channel.

After looking at all of your MFK videos, I ordered several different samples from the website and Lucky Scent. My favs are 540 Baccarat Extrait and the Gentle Fluidity Gold as well. I think the best word for how the original 540 smells is woody, especially at first. I ended up spraying the Gold on top and it toned down the woody smell. They both compliment each other together. You should have seen me lol every night as well as day, over spraying the samples to help me decide lol. It’s going to be the Extrait and Gold for sure! *lol I just refinished watching your Baccarat videos again, to make sure that I wasn’t tripping that the Extrait version deff smells a bit better/sweeter lol

I ordered Aqua Vitae. Il let you know now, it’s not worth the review. Wasn’t crazy about how it first projected. The dry down, I loved but didn’t last nor did it project. I hv a good few of those I don't like the white tea though but agree on the rest but I'd add Creed Aventus for her in place of white tea omg it's GORGEOUS .great taste.
It's funny because in the Satin oud mood I prefer the edp to the extrait,
So my faves are Satin oud mood edp
540 extrait, I don't even look at the 540edp it's like any mainstream.

Nikki Lumsden yeh it has a harshness to it that I couldn’t put my finger on! But yes, like an after smell lol maybe it’s just our body chemistry but I def prefer the normal edp on me!
