My first time in Pripyat, I was stalking near the kindergarten and as i passed near the child games I heard this damn "clown" sound ( 3:44 ). I swear i shat myself and run directly in the opposite side x)
this is the best one on the soundtrack because of its effect, the whole time you are playing you are killing monsters and soldiers, finding loot and artifacts all to this dope hl2 sounding ost until you get to pripyat and the campfire songs, combat music, and other horror sounds turn into this sad somber white noise of a ghost city, where countless people, during chernobyl, the emissions, and the 2nd disaster all died.
Even after having replayed Call of Pripyat several times, this music still gives me chills and makes me uneasy while in Pripyat, even though I know it's just empty, there's nothing there that can jumpscare or hurt me. That is unless I'm playing misery, in which case there probably is something lurking just around a corner.
i played this incredible game at highest difficulty only for more realistic impression and feeling (ofc with alot of save load) but nothing in any game compared to the feeling i had in pripyat at the mission "one shot" when you basically had to choose the better target to dispose off , as a sniper , or if you were good enough take them in both , nothing compared when this song started at 2:51...waiting there in the block , in silent..watching..waiting for the kill
the cool thing is that they even keept him to the metro 2033 and last light games aswell as the other stalker games to make the OSTs and soundtracks, thats how fking awesome he is and the game wouldnt be as atmospheric if some skrillex fan made the soundtracks for em, am ay raight? I think it's meant to be old recordings from the previous people there or Frequencies from radios as if you look up about the Army warehouses some troops say those who died ages ago are still heard over the radios, It may also just be the majors mind playing tricks on him as let's be real imagined being alone in Pripyat you'd probably go insane within the hour and start to imagine a bloodsucker charging at you.

The best map in the game, fighting the Monoliths was really fun and for the most part, Pripyat is empty other than the mutants that roam around and the anomalies to watch for.
Great game, but too linear. Reaching Pripyat was cool and I expected maybe a little more to explore but it shows that most stalkers are active in desolate, swampy areas like Zaton. Pripyat is a bunch of tall apartment buildings but you’ll occasionally run into a couple of dogs and monolith forces, even mercenaries if you don’t stick to the story too much and do side quests. I remember there’s a mission where a mercenary has to meet-up with a scientist. By killing the mercenary leader no other mercs will spawn in Pripyat and you really won’t find other NPCs apart from the army boys at the laundromat.
I think we all do. I think Omelchuck made a masterpiece..this part is just..insane.. it like makes me have this nostalgia-past life-something-really-damn-cool-creepy-chilling-awesome feeling..I can't explain it..anyone else?

This song day theme of CoP is the best way to realise that ghost town wish you to be there. Is represents every place of it every street or building, how they are crying desperately for all humans they lost. Sounds are unstable, creepy and scariest like radioactivity, only sometimes they are for few seconds normal, remembering what beautiful life people use to live there in Pripyat.
