I got to try out tapered jeans because my legs are pretty muscular. My legs are a bit thin around my calves but my thighs are above average size. For straight jeans I find them usually kind of tight around my thighs and I feel like I can barely move so I buy one size bigger to accommodate for my thighs, but tapered sounds like the way to go for me.

Great explanation with the skinny jeans and thin legs. I've been trying to convince my very thin legged friend that his regular fit jeans are too baggy for him and for him to try getting some skinnnies. I think his perception of skinny jeans are that they are skin tight and will undoubtedly expose his thin legs even further.

Really agree with everything you said here! Especially with the slim fit jeans. Even if you're over 30 and have a bit of a beerbelly going on, throwing on a pair of slim fit jeans along with a black Jacket. For example, a bomber or puffer (preferably unzipped) can make you look much thinner and even younger, a fresh date outfit for sure!

The trouble with bootcut and loose fit jeans is that they hang too low because of the excess material that causes them to drag along the ground when you're walking.

For me I mainly wear two jean cuts, a straight and slim taper... Levis 501 or 511... if you dont like a button fly i think the 502s or 505 are the same straight cut as 501s but zippered.
A straight cut jean is timeless. well trends come and go, a good fitting straight cut jean will always remain relevant style wise, especially for older men.
A slim taper is something i've grown to love in my mid-late 20s more and more as I've buillt up a decent Jordan sneaker collection. I strayed away from slim tapered jeans most of my life as I was confused between the difference of slim tapered and skinny jeans and im not the type of guy that would ever wear skinny or ripped and torn fashion jeans... but I ordered a slim taper pair of jeans online by accident years ago and its become a staple in my style ever since.
For sneaker lovers especially high top basketball sneakers having a few decent pairs of tapered jeans in your closet is a must! they give such a nice clean look with sneakers but good luck ever fitting a modern tapered jean over your boots... unless maybe there these old dockers/military style boots that have no ankle padding... a straight cut is versatile in that way, that there not excessively beggy and loose fitting like boot cut jeans well still having a wider ankle opening then a slim tapered pair.
Having a nice mix of both slim tapered and straight cut jeans gives you a lot of style options. Also it can be worth while to experiment with differnet lengths for different shoe styles... for instance I typically wear 34" inseam jeans with a low top sneaker like a Jordan retro 4 but will wear a 32" inseam with a high top sneaker like a retro 6... also some shoes lead themselves better to tapered jeans and vice versa... with a low top sneaker I dont mind a straight cut or a tapered jean but with a high top sneaker I only like to wear tapered jeans and will sometimes size down so they sit atop the sneakers and arent stacked/bunched up to much.

The invention of loose fit jeans changed my life. Regular jeans never worked for me with the big butt/thighs and a small waist. There was either tons of room around the waist or super tight across the rear if I sized down. I wish loose fit had been around when I was younger. The only thing back then was button fly Levis which were cut fuller. Even the regular fit jeans worn in this video look skinny to me.

I used to buy the relaxed fit, but realized the bagginess in the seat area was not the least bit complimentary. I prefer the straight/regular cut and slim fit, as recommended in the video. Also, I don't care for the tightness of the tapered or skinny cuts. They are just plain uncomfortable.

But for a normal day or going to college I normally wear slim stretch jeans as they give the most comfort but also they still look stylish the brands I wear are New look Men TopMan and River Island

I can say one thing... pricetag doesn't matter. The cheapest one I have fits the best.
I got a slimfit with stretch.

I get all my jeans custom tylored. I have an old worn out pair of straight tapered Perry Ellis jeans I use as a template. So I buy based on color, fabric and fit on top. I tend to buy a lot of Tommy Bahama, Perry Ellis and Tommy Hilfiger jeans. But still get them all tailored to my spec.

But why do you want your legs to look like twigs? I've tried tighter fitting jeans on and I feel like it looks so bad.

Thanks for demonstrating how these pants fit. If I had to choose, I'd wear straight or slim for my skinny/muscular body. Straight fit jeans are probably easier to find at thrift stores for my budget

I like the way you covered skinny fit at the end. I personally don't like anything tighter than slim taper but I agree with you completely.

I have pretty special ancles and knees so very skinny jeans makes it look like I walk pretty weird, then I started using slim jeans and it looks much better! They are not to baggy but I like that they are not "sprayed on" to my knees. I think slim is the way to go but some men also look good in looser and tighter jeans, as long as you don't go with the baggy, bootcut or Spray on, but seriously though you can wear whatever you want! Great video!

I have a Levi's 517 which i didn't wear at all, i brought it to a tailor and had it trimmed from right below the knees down, gradually tapering to the leg openings. I now have the leg openings at 6.5 inches and now i got the carrot cut

I think skinny jeans are really cool and would look good on most guys because they give more definition to ur leg and every guy should try out these jeans before making general assumptions

I actually just bought a pair of chinos in slim fit. I tried the slim tapered and thought they looked awesome until I took a step back from the mirror. I work out so I have bigger shoulders, the outline of how wide my shoulders were to the narrowing by the calves wasn’t flattering to me. Definitely resonated with me when you said carroting. Slim was definitely a good compromise. Great video 👍

I wear Diesel Sitckker. I work in a designer clothes store and slim jeans are the widest cut that everyone works in the store recommends for anybody. In fact we only stock 3 regular fit jeans, and about 20 slim jeans (including slim tapered), 20 skinny jeans and 4 super skinny. Even the older guy will wear slim fit jeans if they were to just try them! As the perception of them is uncomfortable, but I find the skinnier the jean the more comfortable they are

@@Noah-wv4td I work in a store with many different denim brands and Diesel are the best quality in my opinion, and we also sell brands such as Tramarossa and Jacob Cohen which go up to about £1000. I find Acne jeans terrible tbh, and Levi's terrible too. Not tried APC but I'm so happy with Diesel Stickker that I'm not going to try anything different for a while

What about if you've got skinny legs, but really big feet? Won't skinny jeans make your feet look even bigger? Wouldn't boot cut be a good option then?
