Back on the 2 again

Another trip on "The 2" This time from the York Bridge in Morecambe, Lancashire, up to the Torrisholme Road in Scale Hall. Passing the football ground at "Christie Park" (soon to be Sainsbury's) and where the horrific scar of a bypass will pass through Torrisholme itself. Last chance to see it as fields!

I used to take this route coming home from school in the 1940s. It was the Circular route that turned round at Torrisholme roundabout to go to Bare where we lived. A Morecambe bus skidded on small frogs at that roundabout , the year 1948 I believe. The P1 Lightning test plane cockpit cover landed in Dallas Rd. Torrisholme in the 1950's the pilot Bee Beaumont landed the plane safely at Warton. I left there in 1950.
