A train horn kit that can do it all and look good doing it, the Conductor’s Special has been the go-to train horn kit for years. With enough volume to wake the dead and enough power to handle most pneumatic you can throw at it, the Conductor’s Special is one of our most rounded kits and a solid addition to any vehicle.
Our Conductor’s Special features our legendary XL Train Horns. Hand-tuned to the exact specifications for the US Train Horn Chord and packing just as much power as an authentic train horn, our XL Train Horns are the closest you can get to the real deal without having to spend thousands on a retired locomotive train horn. Constructed from an ultra-durable fiberglass-reinforced ABS composite with stainless-steel diaphragm and backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects, you get a train horn that is not only insanely loud but ridiculously durable as well.
Of course, for horns of this caliber, you need an onboard air system that will keep up. Our Conductor’s Special is one of our most well-rounded kits, with enough air to blast our XL Train Horns for up to 6 seconds, as well as handle most pneumatic applications such as air tools or tire inflation. Our Nightmare edition is powered by Viair’s 444C stealth black compressor, recharging our 2-Gallon 6-Port tank in roughly a minute. With hardware and instructions included, you get everything you need to get back out on the road and honking.

I think the sound will be loud no matter which way it is facing. I would probably want it facing backwards with a slight downward pitch to prevent water and road muck from hitting it directly. Plus with it slightly hanging below the front spoiler it would be easy to see if a cop leans down and looks under it. Nice looking clean install though. Thanks for sharing.

What wire do I tap in for 1995 Tahoe horn? I want to do the same install setup... toggle switch the powers on compressor when needed and also allows the train horns to work along with my stock horn when I press the steering wheel horn... and when the toggle is off only my stock horn works...

I've been installing a setup on my 2010 Silverado and I also had the idea of running a toggle between stock and train horn, but for the life of me i can not get it to work, Would you be able to provide me some more detail on how you did the splice? every time I try it, or change the wires around... No matter what position the switch is in, The train horn will fire. Almost like the switch is broken.. Hmm, Maybe the switch is broken....? Sometimes you just have to talk about it... Still, Would not mind having some incite into the switch wiring to make sure I am doing it correctly.

    • @roberthargrave509

I'm having the same problem. My system is a Viair dual compressor system with a 2.5 gallon air tank and six ports. I've used regular plumbers tape, yellow gas pipe tape and pipe thread sealant. Its such a slow leak I cant tell where its coming from and this results in the compressor kicking on in the garage in the middle of the night. Not my daily driver so it would lead to a dead battery on occasion. My work around was tying it into a power source that only came on when the ignition was on. Now blowing fuses. Pulled the entire system out and going to redo everything to see if I can solve the leak. Also saw in an other video the foot switch. Love that! especially since the Airhorn is my only horn. With the foot switch I can rewire the factory horn for those times when a full on air horn blast isn't necessary.

With a direct battery connection, if a leak ever forms the compressor will run continuously and kill the battery. I'd suggest connection to an accessory circuit controlled by the key. Be careful as that compressor will pull decent current and can't be tapped on to any circuit without blowing a fuse. Some new cars have an accessories relay near the battery after a large fuse. BTW, I assume a fuse is in the compressor circuit near the battery. Fuses prevent fires!
