finally, I was looking for a chair recommendation but instead I found a lot of people saying sitting in this position can do you a lot of harm in the long term, tho the most comfortable position for me and my short legs is the cross-legged, not only it keeps my feet warm, it also makes me feel less stressed and stops me from uncontrollably shaking my legs while sitting. in my culture we always sit in a cross-legged style, mostly on the ground, it's part of why I find this position much better than leaving my legs exposed/hanging from the chair like a 3rd grader.
@@mallorykane2843 The floor is just too far away if I'm going to sit eye-level with my computer where my arms sit at a natural feeling height and the arm-rests are too high and the screens are too close to my eyes to comfortably see all of them. I am quite short! Cross-legged sitting solves this problem, and I've been sitting cross-legged since I was in school as a kid which was where I was told to.
Something kinda missing from this -- I feel like it's helpful when the arms swing up and out of the way completely. Don't have to worry about my knees hitting the arms.

I'll try to correct myself every now and then but it just comes naturally. Knowing that a chair will allow me to sit like this is a huge plus in my book. The gesture is checking so many boxes for me. The high price tag is the big negative part about it.

I'm trying to sit with both feet on the floor but it's hard to overcome my brain wiring and the urge to sit with one leg under me. Just doesn't feel right even though I know the way I always sat is causing me pain.

The Herman Miller Embody is incredibly comfortable for cross legged sitting in my experience. More expensive than most of the chairs on this list, but I recommend it!

I have a Gaming Chair and i'm 1,80m tall, and i sit Cross legged the entire day without any pain or numbness, I use a Noble chair Hero Series black version, and it's less expensive then those, and way more comfortable for me.
I'm so torn. I just need a chair for my wild sitting 😩 I've tired a few but none seem to hit the nail, Def don't wanna buy that lilypad looking chair though, hips should be higher than knees. That's my issue currently... the chairs with the base that can lean slightly forward, push me out of the chair 🤣

We have the Steelcase stools (can’t remember which style, tho) and we love it. The arms sit all the way in the back rather than in the seat. It’s def one we fight over on my home
This is awesome. Too bad the first chair is already quite pricey. Definitely an investment worth making though if you're in it all day so maybe I'll bite the bullet and get a cheaper desk. EDIT* Woah nevermind. The price for the first one is $900 here in Canada so that definitely isn't happening.
Can you guys test Xilium Mesh chair? It's top tier chair available to purchase in Poland and I would love to see how it compares to the chairs you've already tested. Sadly most of chairs you show need to be imported here for extra fee and have long waiting times and "no return" policy.
We had an obese accountant that got a regular big and tall computer chair from staples... he was off one day and I borrowed his chair for an impromptu training and it was the best cross legged chair I've sat in!
The gesture is way too small for anyone normal sizes to try to leg sit. Not to mention the annoying non adjustable lower lumbar support that pushes you forward. I was born with lumbar support all I need is a tiny bit. These chairs are mostly gimmicks. The leap while better construction is nothing better than a 100 box store chair.

Good list! The Alera Elusion (with armrests installed backwards) is another good one that I've been using for years. Only around $200.
