22 years old and I LOVE Jim Peterik SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! 💜💜💜 I love all of Survivor’s music too and Jim’s solo songs!! 🥰
He's a good musician and vocalist. He deserves to get more media attention 🙂.
Jim is a fricken musical genus !!!!
One of the best songwriters walking the planet...I totally dig this version LOTS!
Jim Peterik - a MEGA talent and a truly sweet, kind human being. Wish I could clone him. xoxo
I'm just now finding out that I'm a big fan of his. I had no idea how many songs that I've listened to over the years he had worked on. From what I've seen so far, I would say your assessment is spot on. Clone away!!!!
He should stick to songwriting and all things musically except singing. Not that he's a horrible singer but his voice is more suited to Ides of March and funk rock of 70s. Survivor would have never been big if he was the co-singer, as was his original vision. He is, however sharing the vocals in Pride of Lions which I think is preventing them from being a more successful band
@@samsunggalaxyj3prime889 I like his singing voice. It's Bickler's singing voice that I am lukewarm/iffy on. I was more of a Jimi Jamison fan. I had to go looking at "Vehicle" videos to see other people mention how much they like JP's singing voice. IMO, Let there Be Song was his best song off of his original solo album from 1976. It was his first attempt at writing a power ballad according to a great podcast interview from 2015 (The 2 interviewers were very familiar with all aspects of Peterik's career. Including his work with 70s R&B group Essence). Personally, I think "Let There Be Song" could have possibly worked as a Survivor song with him singing lead vocals. It would have been a better song than "Love Has Got Me" at least. There were some really great songs on the expanded reissue CD release of "Don't Fight the Feeling.... and more". "Moving and Growing" should have been on his 1976 solo album. So should have been: "Teenage Machine Age", "2000 Year-old-man", "Chi-Town Hustler", "Too Far to Fake It", "Almost Home", "Eight Bars at a Time", "Never Goin' Back to L.A.". I only would have kept "Let There Be Song" from the original solo album.
@@samsunggalaxyj3prime889 My favorite songs that feature Jim Peterik on lead vocals would be "Moving and Growing" and the Ides of March song "Moon Out of Phase".
@@samsunggalaxyj3prime889 My favorite Pride of Lions song with him on co-lead vocals are: Music and Me and Madness of Love. For me, it works. I loved the first Word Stage album. IMO, It was his most consistent album songwriting wise since Vital Signs.
Man, he wrote some huge hits! Unbelievable! He wrote half the hits on the radio when I was growing up in Michigan! I got to meet him a few times. Outstanding!
Love this version by the computer himself. 👍🏼
Rare is it that u can outdo yourself but damn if you didn’t! ❤ love it❤
Omgoodness yr a dream !
Jim Peterik has to be the most creative artist to ever walk the planet Earth.
I agree. Though, you and a lot of other people probably have never heard Teenage Machine Age or 2000 Year Old Man. 2000 Year Old Man is on his official CZcams page, at least.
Really cool stripped down version of the classic song from '82!
Most people don't realize that he wrote the song , he also wrote Rockin Into the Night , wild-eyed Southern Boys , Hold On Loosely , and fantasy girl , he wrote All of 38 specials biggest songs , and he wrote the song Heavy Metal for Sammy Hagar amongst many other songs for other artists
Yes he did he's a great musician
38 Special owe their careers to Jim Peterik and Frankie Sullivan they wrote (or stole) their hits
Don’t forget Frankie Sullivan he co wrote they were fantastic song writers.
Rocking into the night was turned down by survivor. Research the facts before you accuse someone of " stealing" songs
@@fredknoche you are right , They recorded it but their manager wanted to give it to 38 special.... Jim agreed
Thank you, Jim. I would LOVE to see you and Jonathan Cain write a new album for Journey. It would be EPIC!
I really appreciate this song, yes 38 Special made it a rock and roll hit but I like Jim taking this spin on it too!
Agreed, the best part of it is that Jim is the songwriter.
Could Jim be one of the most creatively adventurous musicians in history along with Rik Emmett?
YES!!!!
Amazing version of this classic! Jim has a great way of making a song his!
CONNOR BRACKEN the thing that most people do not realize is Jim wrote the song , he wrote Rockin Into the Night , wild-eyed Southern Boys, fantasy girl , Hold On Loosely , and caught up in you . He wrote All of survivors biggest songs , Andro heavy metal for Sammy Hagar , and wrote many other songs for other people

38 specials song was southern rock jim doing the song this way is cool
He helped write it❤
Beautiful!! ❤
Amazing!!!!
Totally different style of this song , but it's a great sound.....
Nice
let te sun shine in!
Maxine
Seamstress for you!
Jeff Bogue, you slight the 38 writers terribly.
Jim himself has commented many times in interviews that he could not have co-written those songs without the input and initial ideas from the 38 guys. It’s called ‘collaboration.’
Together they were very fruitful in their work together. Check the song credits on the releases.
Well said, great writers, great musicians, great people.
So, who are the others in this video with Jim? Anyone know?
Following his creative muse?
That woman's expression at 00:36 seconds is hilarious, LOL. WTH...
Did he just try to turn this song into a pop song....
Covering? LMAO
