    hello i have a question, i am a soccer player. i was shooting the ball and the leg that i shoot with came up in a weird motion, followed by my knee popping extremely loud. then immediately after feeling sharp pains in that knee. i couldn’t tell if the pain was in the center of the knee, or right under the center of the knee. but it hurt real bad. about 17 hours have past, and it is definitely swelling. but i am still able to walk, the pain on and off. can you help me figure this out?

      Within 2 days ......it happens with me always, whenever I play football... that's why am on rest right now for about 3 weeks I am ready to play but I also know that if I play then this shit is going to happen again 😪

      @CompletePhysio  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi, Pain and swelling from an ACL injury can vary considerably between individuals. It also depends on the extent of the injury. Sometimes the pain and swelling gets worse over a few days and can take a number of weeks to settle down. In other people the swelling and pain is less severe.

    I had all symptoms of acl but no swelling at all . Can anybody tell me what it can be ?😢

    • @CompletePhysio
      @CompletePhysio  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi, It would be difficult to diagnose without getting a full description of your symptoms and being able to do a clinical assessment. If you are having on going problems then I would suggest that you see a healthcare professional to get an accurate diagnosis. If you are London based then feel free to book in to see one of our physios. complete-physio.co.uk/contact-us/

    Could that not be the same with a mcl tear

    • @CompletePhysio
      @CompletePhysio  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi, Thank you for your question. All the knee ligaments are venerable to being damaged. The mechanism of injury, site and intensity of pain, and the level of swelling, and instability will often be the guide to your diagnosis. While there is of course some overlap, ACL tears tend to cause more swelling and bruising than an MCL injury. You will also find that an MCL injury is more painful and tender on the inside of the knee.

    • @CompletePhysio
      @CompletePhysio  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi, I hope that the pain has settled. If you are still experiencing problems and are having difficulty walking then I would suggest that you seek an assessment from a healthcare professional - GP or physio, or a local medical assessment centre.
