      Not our call Jim, Hot Rod Magazine would not allow it in the video so we had to blur or ditch the project.

    So many debates over this. Just got off the phone with Tamco they said no filler on bare metal creates heat then condensation on metal and to put over there DTM high build 5310. I do not need epoxy if car is inside all the time it will save you a lot of money just block and top coat your done and still have epoxy properties in the DTM.

    You can't "build up" filler. it's designed as a mild form of metal correction, not for fabrication. Depending on the brand you use they'll have maximum thickness listings on the can, example 1/8 inch. You'll need to re-shape the metal first then use your filler as a finish before refinishing. If you can't re-shape the metal, then consider panel replacement.

    Question guys. I need to fix a spot about 3" L x 2 " H just behind the rear door on the body panel about middle tire hieght. It's a "shaped" body molding that is as long as the front and rear doors to the rear wheel. I need it to come out about 1 inch in the center. Would I need to build it up? It's basically a reverse "V" I need to create. How thick can I apply Bondo? And how long between applications before I can sand and apply another coat if necessary. Lease turn in is coming up. Thanks

    I have a 2007 chevy avalanche and would like to have the cladding painted. A friend told me that i could use a light weight bondo to rub over the textured plastic then sand it smooth. Do you have any recomendations on how to do this? do you sell the products to do something like this? Thank you

    does it matter what side of the spreader that's used

    • @Collisionhub
      @Collisionhub  Před 7 lety

      James Houston No, both sides are the same. What does matter is that you make sure there is no extra hardner that has collected on the spreader during mixing.
      That one swipe would be over catalyzed and lead to a repair failure.
