    This video describes the Coil span factor/ Pitch factor/Chording factor;
    Distribution factor/Belt factor; and why coil span should be equal to pole pitch pitch factor and distribution factor in alternator
    Faculty Name: Thotakura NSC Sekhar
    Welcome to our informative video where we unravel the secrets behind two critical factors in alternators: Pitch Factor and Distribution Factor. In this educational presentation, we provide a comprehensive understanding of these factors and their significance in the operation of alternators. Winding factor in an alternator
    Video Content:
    In this video, we delve into the concepts of Pitch Factor and Distribution Factor and explore how they affect the performance of alternators. Our expert explanations and visual illustrations will help you grasp these complex factors with ease.
    Pitch Factor:
    Learn about the Pitch Factor, which represents the ratio of the actual voltage induced in each coil to the voltage that would be induced if all the coils were fully distributed. Discover how the Pitch Factor influences the voltage waveform and the overall efficiency of the alternator.
    Distribution Factor:
    Gain insights into the Distribution Factor, which accounts for the unequal distribution of flux in the air gap of an alternator. Understand how the Distribution Factor affects the magnitude and phase of the generated voltage, as well as the harmonics present in the output.
    Explore the relationships between the Pitch Factor, Distribution Factor, and various design parameters of alternators. Discover the techniques used to optimize these factors for efficient and reliable performance.

    Excellent explanation Sir
    Could you please clear my doubts about alternator sir
    1) if I consider 36slots stator and 6poles rotor then coil span:6, slot angle 30degrees but for 36slots in 360 degrees then slot angle should be 360/36=10 how it is possible?
    2) Could you please explain the distribution winding process in stator of an alternator (in deep)
    3) Requirement of a pure sinusoidal wave form of emf which type of winding is preferable?

    • @bhuvanakrishna1960
      @bhuvanakrishna1960 Před 5 lety

      A vector constitutes a magnitude and direction.
      Phasor is actually a rotating vector with some specific frequency which means that its direction changes with respect to time.

    • @bhuvanakrishna1960
      @bhuvanakrishna1960 Před 5 lety +1

      Capacitor is used in table fans! They differ in construction from the normal cylindrical ones which are more common, usually they are cuboid in shape. You will find one if you remove the fan casing, i advice not to do so....
