    Thanks for the history. You literally filled in lot of gaps in history I was unaware. Makes so much sense how it all came about. I’ve been working on my project, free energy, if I can get around to it since college. MIB showed up at college and took everything and called me in a threatening way to never built it again. That’s 40 years ago and thanks to internet.

    Sir why transformer size reduce when we increase frequency of transformer

    • @rajkamalkakoti1584
      @rajkamalkakoti1584 Před 5 lety +1

      For same voltage rating, with increase in frequency no of turns per phase of a transformer decrease, which decrease the overall size of the transformer. This high frequency and smaller size transformer is used in aircrafts.

    • @prasadsowale1931
      @prasadsowale1931 Před 5 lety +1

      Just go through the output equation of a transformer .. in which you will get
      Q = 2.22 *f* dimensions of transformer ..
      So when you increase the frequency , for same output transformer dimensions becomes lower ..hence its size reduces.

    • @powerelectronicsguy2622
      @powerelectronicsguy2622 Před 5 lety +1

      With use of high frequency, time duration of magnetisation of core in any direction decreases. So for same current, we need to handle comparatively lower flux. So we can use a transformer with smaller core. Transformer is noting but a two winding inductor. Say when we give DC voltage(one directional) to inductor, current will keep on rising. So it the flux with time. 50hz = 0.02sec. or one half cycle is 0.01sec. now if we increase the frequency, flux will not rise as in case of 50HZ. So small flux can be handled by a transformer with lower core area. Thus size reduces
