so true. Keeping money is much more important than flashing it with a flash car, I love flash cars and had one that cost me a lot in fuel. I have learnt my lesson to have a cheap run about until I have my own property, then shell out on a nice car. Shelby is a great role model x

@@jenshu7 hello Jen! On Medium a lot of writers made an analysis about it, basically her followers influenced her big success in short-term. But you can make good money on Medium if you are a good writer. I have 7 months in the platform and in the beginning I was making around $100 and now $1000.
If you want to be a writer, keep in mind is not going to be the same result as Shelby but with time you can achieve big things with time.

Yes.. I did not realize that either. My Medium articles do more like the 4 cents she got that first month 😂 I figured it was a waste of my time.. but maybe I just need to do more research and write articles that are of interest to more people.

Earning money on Medium is super easy. Really. With zero blogging and writing experience (besides my Master's studies), I racked up a pretty nice sum in no time.

This is amazing!! This is why I keep telling everyone how amazing CZcams is as a platform. I would be surprised if Shelby made under $1,000,000 once you include sponsors, affiliates, and other income.

yeah i doubt this high but shes for sure doing very well! lol
@@MollyPorter She's rejecting 10k deals, she's probably on the 20-40k deals per sponsorship, 10-15 of those and she's already making more than her ad revenue.
For example, Andrei Jikh made 872k from affiliates compare to 663k from ad revenue (you can watch his video "How Much Money I Made In 2020") and he also said that he didn't took 800k from sponsors because he didn't like the companies.
So YEAH, they're making SO MUCH MONEY with sponsors, affiliates, and other income

I love how open you are about this! Although I get significantly fewer views than you do, I also experienced a similar large dip in CPM around early spring. Like you said though, this was similar across the board for creators. It’s interesting to see how RPM/CPM changed throughout 2020 given all the changes that happened.

@@cuteprincess441 ad block is not good for many reasons including the creators not getting compensated for those who use it. With premium you get absolutely no ads and to my limited knowledge the creators will obviously get paid from your clicks and views. Premium is a game changer
CZcams Premium is one of the best paid services I have purchased. The reason is it saves me time not watching ads. Time is a precious commodity and sometimes time is more valuable than money.

Great video Shelby! Your videos add so much value by putting so much useful information in one place. My main channel has 77k subs and I used to go though a MCN too. MCNs suck so much and do they absolutely nothing. Glad you kicked yours to the curb. Keep up the great videos. I watch every one of them.
I think it's pretty amazing! My channel a couple years ago had 77M views and made $12.000 soooo even though that's the most I have ever made, it is so dramatically different. My CPM that year (due to main viewership location ad value) was really low. Still, it gave me a chance to learn a lot. My CPM is a lot higher this year (like, a LOT), but my views are so sadly low. Now I make about $30-50 a month. It's crazy.
Vlogmas was started by Ingrid Nielsen - aka MissGlamorazzi. She coined the term for vlogging every day until Christmas.

This is really excellent! So many people are just so hesitant to talk numbers as they feel like people might judge them harshly for making too much, not making enough, or whatever.
