Undrafted. I met him and went to OU. THE BIGGEST DBAG in the world. Doesn’t practice. F’s his best friends gf. Last one in, first one out. Thinks he is a God. It’s comical, almost like Denis from it’s Always Sunny….. that’s a recipe for a Super Bowl winning quarterback.
I don't hate the Minshew comparison at all. Minshew is criminally underrated and so is Rattler. They both have good completion percentages and decent TD:Int ratios. With talent around them, they both should be able to succeed.

Rattler will be a huge sleeper pick. Put him in as a back up for a year or two and he will come out looking better than a lot of these top picks in the draft. He clearly studies film and learns from it - he’s got Mahomes moves, Josh Allan moves, his sdecision making is crazy fast, he makes the reads and isn’t afraid to dump the ball in bad situations. And dude has an ARM when he’s on the move.
hes definitely not as talented as allen or mahomes, but he has talent and great processing. hes limited in other areas, id put his cieling as someone like tua. at worst you get a minshew, a very good backup qb. hes a system qb and in the right system he could perform really well. hes not going to carry teams like mahomes, but if you put talent around him he can get it done. and thats all you can really ask for from a qb, not everyone is gonna be the next mahomes/brady
Would love to see him play with more NFL talent around him. He seems to have sound fundamentals, but lacked the scheme and weapons to deliver at the same level as some other QBs in the draft (Penix in particular).
Rattler has a lot of poise and I think he did a nice job in South Carolina given the team had a talent disadvantage most of the time in the SEC. 100% an NFL QB, just has a limited ceiling due to his tools. If a good org grabs this guy in the middle rounds, I think he can find a way into a starting role for at least some amount of time. If I'm a team like New Orleans having insurance for Carr and some type of succession plan sounds pretty good. As you said Kurt, if he gets a chance in a nice system he can succeed.
Yoooo. I want a copy of Catapult so bad. There are some things I think you could create which would completely change the game for film analysis. These are great, I hope you keep doing this kind of tape and football analysis! Also, were do you find the all-22 film?
Minshew is a good comp. I also say he's similar to Brock Purdy coming out of college-both played four years and ran pro-style concepts and were regarded as good-not-great after their senior seasons, and fell in the draft bc of some issues with size and turnovers. The Shanahan offense was able to rein in Purdy's hero-ball tendencies and kept him playing within structure, and new Saints OC Klint Kubiak coached Purdy in SF as the pass-game coordinator. I think Rattler found a nice landing spot-hope he gets a shot to be a starter.
don’t mind that at all tbh. i think the prime scenario is we trade back to the 20’s, take nix, and gain draft capital in the process. mix i think is more nfl ready but i wouldn’t mind rattler in the third either. whoever sean thinks can run the offense better.
I'd love if you could cover former prospects also. We could get to see what Mahomes or Allen looked like in college compared to the pros. Would also be cool to see older greats like Brady or Manning to see how the league was different then. Just some ideas
As a SC fan the reason for the weird protections because of the horrible play at oline we were getting. Had to hold an extra guy or two back for rattler to make timing throws. That’s why they would cover 6 and 8
I think he's an interesting prospect. I think he'll fall a bit, but a smart team will think about the future and pick him up to develop and back up their starter in his first season or two. But I really like a lot of what I'm seeing and he could absolutely grow into a starter. Reminds me a bit of Baker Mayfield.
Watched this after watching the Drake Maye video. Such a stark contrast. Daniel Jones needed another year. Maye projects to have a similar start as Jones. Rattler screwed himself over. But that gave him the extra time to learn. Saints may have a new QB1. Carr is under contract for 3 more years. That's a perfect situation for Rattler. Jordan Love scenario.
Something I haven't seen mentioned when people have talked about rattler, for most of the season South Carolina was down two of the top three receivers on the depth chart as well as ten offensive lineman, just as a Gamecock fan watching the offense perform was bad because you knew it would be so much better if it weren't for injuries
My new go to channel, Just found it today. I am Raider fan and want LV to get Rattler in the 90-112 range in the draft. Learn from Gardner and Aiden, and maybe take the job. I like your humble nature but you should consider showing your NIL in the NFL . Maybe a jersey in a frame if that is not too gross for you. I mean I don't even see your name on here, but watched the McCarthy video where you mentioned playing with Matt Ryan, so you were a falcon or Colt. Quick look did not see NFL just college, if you do an NFL QB show consider Aiden O'Connell, the critics say all he is a back up out of date pocket passer. Sounds like a Pocket Presence candidate to me. I think Aiden throws with excellent anticipation.
Rattler in 10 games has 14 different OL so SC OC had to go with more 2 or 3 man routes. But he has valuable experience playing with dudes in his face. Might not have had the same line in ANY 2 games.
He should never have have run at the combine if he hadn't practiced how to get out of the blocks he is much faster on the field then his combine time.He must have arrogantly thought that he would run fast without practicing.
They all played on the pac-12 which historically and even up to this year does not have good defenses, compared to the sec that every team has a defense, what separates teams in the sec is offenses
I learned a couple things: (1) Rattler has big time potential, and (2) Legette is a dawg
I'm a Gamecocks fan, and the only highlights of our team were Rattler and Legette. They were balling for like the entire season.

As a Saints fan I am hyped for him. Even if it doesnt pan out thats fine just to have someone on our roster with raw talent makes me excited.
Dude, your breakdown are freaking phenomenal. I'm learning things I had never thought about as a coach.
I love me some Spencer Rattler! Awesome analysis, love your understanding of the game!
I don't hate the Minshew comparison at all. Minshew is criminally underrated and so is Rattler. They both have good completion percentages and decent TD:Int ratios. With talent around them, they both should be able to succeed.
Caleb Williams and Spencer Rattler both started at OU and both ended up at USC🤔🤔
Different USCs tho lol

Kurt is best qb analyst on podcasts/tv!
Spencer Rattler 🖤⚜️ Who DAT 💥 Let's go Saints 😁🏆💪
This was a such a good breakdown. Thanks!
Geaux Saints!! I was so happy getting him on my team.
Bro reads a defense as good as Drew Brees! Incredible breakdown of film
Would love to see him play with more NFL talent around him. He seems to have sound fundamentals, but lacked the scheme and weapons to deliver at the same level as some other QBs in the draft (Penix in particular).
Great breakdown as usual 👌 Are you going to do a ranking vid?
Love watching these breakdowns, any plan on doing Michael Pratt fron Tulane?
the break downs are always great, do you think you will do one on Austin Reed QB from Western Kentucky

I see my Flacons drafting him in the third to learn under Kirk.
Well saint's got him

I’m exited to see if rattler can develope in the nfl if he goes to a good team/ coaching staff
Wow great video Kurt very well said!
He's the QB I would draft honestly
You should be a QB coach fr!!! Breakdown 🔥
As a Broncos fan, I think I would rather take Rattler in the Third than Nix at 12 overall.

Do Joe Milton
yeah man that combine performance from nix really was a bad first impression.
I watched my guy all season run for his life. Seems like a lot problems can be solved if 5 of our guys can block 3 D-linemen successfully.
the fact that he threw for 3000 yards and 18 tds with this scheme and o-line is honestly impressive.
I'd love if you could cover former prospects also. We could get to see what Mahomes or Allen looked like in college compared to the pros. Would also be cool to see older greats like Brady or Manning to see how the league was different then. Just some ideas

He’s a Saint ⚜️
Case Keenum esque. I think he'll make a great backup. That's not meant to be an insult by any means btw.
His arm talent is miles above keenum

They need to start calling PI on the refs
Should do him again but break down the big Tennessee game
It's so infuriating to see the ref standing in the middle of the damn play
Could you do Jordan Travis next? I think he deserves it 🥺
Especially that 2022 FSU UF
When are we getting that QB Big Board, Kurt?
Minshew comp is on the money
You should watch Devin Leary from Kentucky. I think he is one teams may like a lot more than the draft media.
Can you be Gamecocks OC next year?

5th round pick he sure looks like a steal

hes gonna be a falcon
If Daboll gets a hold of him for a year to sit…
Welp, 20:21 I know South Carolina has Zero O linemen getting drafted 😂
We were down 10 different OLinemen this season. Quite literally just an OLine made of 3rd stringers at that point.
So Rattler and Legette stopped South Carolina from being Vanderbilt
Yes.
Rattler I think is more arm talented than Minshew but other than that they are very similar. Good comp.
i agree its a good comp but i think his ceiling can be someone like tua
@@lavs8696 I think Rattler has a significantly stronger arm than Tua tbh.
@@hunterreynolds2225 i agree thats the main difference
I think he'd look good in Pittsburgh, where he can take the backup job away from Fields.
Idk why but I see baker mayfield similarities 🤷♂️
i hope the falcons take legette and rattler back to back this draft
I like Minshew or a stronger armed Mullens.
They used max protect because their offensive line was terrible.

I feel bad for Spencer. The O-line and gameplan is TRASH
I don't see a lot of potential in him. Blame the O-line all you want, his footwork and mechanics look bad. The Saints just drafted a clone of Carr.
He has way more potential then Derrick Carr!!! Carr wouldn't last one game with the o line he had at South Carolina.Rattler played the whole season.
Do you not remember how good Derek Carr was pre-injury?
Don’t know if it’s fair picking games against top 10 teams for Bo nix, micheal penix and Caleb but for Spencer you pick an unranked Florida
They all played on the pac-12 which historically and even up to this year does not have good defenses, compared to the sec that every team has a defense, what separates teams in the sec is offenses
