Love the line, mainly the colder weather options.. Love the EDT and EDP but have older bottles of them with presumably better performance.. Don’t know if I’ll repurchase since everyone is bashing the current performances, but definitely will check it out..

I much prefer the individual bottle styling for different flankers too.
I tested it today. My skin did not react well to this amaretto opening, but after 15 minutes, the usual L'Homme Ideal swetness arose, and it became wonderful. Longevity is better than edp for sure

Thanks Ash! I have 4 of the line which covers all of my needs for seasons and situations. I don’t believe this new one will be different enough to spend the cash on. But I may check it out in a year or two.

Does anyone know where to smell these guirlain fragrances in person? I’ve been to a Neiman Marcus and they have many of the niche fragrances but I did not see the lhomme ideal line

Picked this up from fragrancebuy, waiting to arrive in the mail. Never owned any of the other flankers. Happy to hear it’s more classier and for older people.
A few days ago, FragranceBuy got ten bottles of each of the new Guerlain parfum flankers: L'Homme Ideal, Habit Rouge, and Vetiver.
I got all 3 new Guerlain Parfum. My favorite one is the habit rouge one. I got lucky because of my coworker was in Belgium for business trip and I asked him get these for me.

Video series idea: 10 fragrances that you only need one of. That is, a list of frags that share similar notes/feeling or could stand-in for one another, if aren’t straight clones.
Do you need Sauvage, Dylan blue, AND PLR Carbon? Or will just one be ok?
What about Givenchy Gentleman Boisee, Green Irish Tweed and Acqua di gio?
What about Versace Pour Homme, Nautica Voyage and D&G light blue?
Etc.
Tobacco frags, powdery, citrusy, woody… maybe not the exact same fragrances or clones, but those that fill the same slot. Maybe you can create new color categories beyond blue and Green. Red, brown, gray, black, yellow…
Then on the other side, frags that have no match, or that created a category (excluding clones). BDC, spice Bomb Extreme, aqua velva, ADG, Aventus, Aramis
this would actually be super useful. I noticed a lot of the fragrances that i buy (not that much) smell not necessarily similar, but like they can only be used in the same sircamstances. (if u get what i mean)
Okay, I was ready to blind buy this as soon as it hit the online stores in my country. But thanks to this review I'll wait at least until I get my nose on it. Hopefully, it will be available longer than Platine Privé was.
I love my Eau de Parfum and Extreme. However, I'm going to sell the Intense version which I like smell-wise but it doesn't last on me at all.

The OG, the Extreme, the intense and then cologne are my top 4
Platine privé is definitly top 3
@@KalidreaMm it’s right up there w cologne. It’s technically a re-release of cologne except the citrus are a bit brighter in Prive where cologne is a bit creamier

Big fan of the line (I have and love the EdP, the L'Intense and Platine Privé), but after testing this one, I didn't enjoy it as much.
I like it as well. The amaretto is a nice touch. Unfortunately for me, I don't get the same performance as you. On me, it's nice for an hour or so, but after that wears pretty close to the skin. I will say that I prefer the Habit Rouge Parfum more. It takes the mature / sophisticated vibe up a notch, and the performance is significantly better on me than the L'Homme. Not as mass appealing, but definitely works better for me.
Anyone know of any stores that carry this line in the USA?
This one is ok. I just want the extreme to be the way it was before it was reformulated. The new formulation just doesn't cut it.
I think the bottles on MDCI are great, but when you own a few you're in trouble because they don't say the name of the fragrance on the bottles 🤔

Imo the edt is the best vs the edp and extreme. I have all 3 and don’t get the hype with the edp and extreme. 🤷♂️

As you said the presentation doesn't set them apart and this is why I almost never care about checking out all the different Guerlains in this bottle style, they look the same besides the colour of the juice and a little text on the label.

I really like the Parfum but I have black edged EDT bottle which lasts so much longer on me. It is a 8 year old batch and lasts so much longer on my skin than the new Parfum. I own both.
I like the square bottles in the new line over the older listerine bottles. Now that the bottles are all clear that just means my bottles are now “ vintage”. Which I love

i prefer the uniform and plain look of the new guerlain bottles, simplistic and classy
Guerlain is cutting costs to optimise return to shareholders.
It's probably outsourced to some low-cost country and bottled in France.
Luxury is an illusion.
I like the new box, but agree that the new bottles could use more work/dedication.

Yeah, I got the opposite experience with performance. It barely projects for 30 minutes off my skin and I get maybe three hours of longevity. Not worth the money.
Of course it’s going to smell similar - it’s the same freakin line haha
