Flüelen Uri Switzerland 4K Village Vierwaldstättersee

Flüelen in the canton of Uri has a wonderful location at the southern end of Vierwaldstättersee (Lake Lucerne) in Switzerland. This place has always been an important transhipment point and transit point on the Gotthard route. A customs station in Flüelen was first mentioned in 1313 and regular traffic of steamships on Lake Lucerne began in 1837. When the railway was built around 1870, the old harbour was largely filled in and the appearance of the village was greatly changed. The Axenstrasse, opened in 1865, runs through the village, although a bypass was built in 2005 with the Flüeler Tunnel.
The hiking route Weg der Schweiz (Swiss Path), established in 1991, runs along Lake Lucerne in its central section through Flüelen.

Hoi Dina! Yes, we still have some autumn colors in some areas but we have now also fog in lower areas in Switzerland. Yesterday the fog came up to 1000meters.
