Like an old weatherman said before he finally was retired, "I'm going to keep on giving the weather until I get it right"! That sums it up quite well. lol

I get so happy when I see the notification come up on my screen that you have uploaded a new video. I broke my ankle and it’s been a really boring time. These videos bring light to my day thank you.

Thank you brother , I know it's rough on
You too right now but Lord help us. One day will be walking again. I grew up in west Texas spending countless hours
Plowing and planting the fields but know that I'm down I never realized how special it was to be able to get up
And down the John Deer 4010, 4430,,
      4640, 4850 tractors and that's counting
Up and down the Combine's and the cotton pickers.. By the way I'm 60 years old and have a little history behind me
But still not enough like my hard working DADDY did . I'm sure your from
      A hard working Family also.

Good to see that you are in Kansas and that wheat really looks good. Most of Central Kansas has been harvested and yields were good. Some frost damage though to some Wheat

Do you mostly break your knife at the head end?
If so you are greasing too much ( too many shots or too often).
When you grease the head, stop as soon as the head moves down any amount at all. 2-3 shots every other day I think.

Hayden, thanks as always for a glimpse into the harvest life. The challenges are immense! Couple of curiosity's or questions.... 1) As you lay out the pattern to cut each field, do you strategize to minimize the downwind time of one machine to avoid the dust/chaff? 2) The light game - I have gone through numerous web sites searching for the season standings. Are they on some Members only/Patreon/Dark Web site? Appreciate all the work and videos! Thank you

More then likely talked about this but with varying yields and conditions how to you bill the customer-don’t want to know how much. Do you go by the acre or by bushels or do you bid the jobs? Maybe a combination of all

  • @Wyattstrnad8430

Why do you guys buy combines from bti instead of the dealerships in Texas? I don't mind the rethesher I just take it slow in weeds.

You look tired, Hayden. Q. Do you do your best not to follow one another so as not to clog all your air filters? Your parents are the best. Another enjoyable watch.

    • @HaydenOnHarvest
      @HaydenOnHarvest  Před 22 dny +6

Are you even on harvest if you aren’t tired? Lol most of your filters are on the back of the combine right by the chopper so it really doesn’t do that much good. I guess it would be better on your cab filters lol

    Hayden, "wore or worn"?
Is the phrase “wore out” correct or “worn out?” “Wore out” is correct as the past tense of the phrasal verb “to wear out,” meaning to cause something to fail from the effects of excessive wear or overuse. “Worn out” is correct as the past participle of the phrasal verb “to wear out.”
