  • This is the First PART of the 1/48 Tamiya NASHORN build series. This episode looks at not only the construction process of the build, but looks at some simple and repeatable ways to improve your model straight from the box. In this episode I take you from opening the box up to the priming stage. I am trying to work from an historical reference image, so some of the steps I have taken will help achieve the goal of recreating a small scene from WW2.
Scale modelling, especially armour modelling and tank is the greatest hobby in the World! I'd encourage you to be proud of what you do and share it with the community.

    Clayton,
Really informative and clear, I very much enjoyed this video and it has demonstrated/inspired me to undertake some new techniques.....and build an AFV.
A word of feedback - the out-takes from other videos - I would recommend reducing their number or removing altogether. I gather they are thereto emphasise a point and provide some levity. My question to you is "are they necessary?" I found them a distraction bordering on annoying......just a suggestion. Otherwise I found the video style easy to follow, clear and kept my attention.
    I've subscribed.

Thanks for the feedback Peter. I guess for me the cut-ins are a point of difference and just a way for me to enjoy the time involved in the editing process a little more. I'm trying to make videos I'd like to watch and hopefully make the viewing experience entertaining, so sorry to hear you found it annoying. I'd be really interested to see if others felt the same way or enjoyed it? Again - thanks so much for the feedback. It' greatly appreciated.

      No worries Clayton.
Like I said, I found your video clear and informative and that's what is enabling me to learn from the content you've provided.
      You've definitely got my subscription.
Ultimately you will refine and develop the finer aspects of your style of presentation and production and find what works.
As an example, I would point you to the work of PLASMO (no doubt you're familiar with his channel). His style has developed over time, as can bee seen in a comparison of his early videos with his current work - which I thoroughly enjoy and gain much value from.
I'm looking forward to the next instalment you have for us.

I actually found the outtakes really amusing. And differentiate the video from other creators. Plus I am Australian living overseas and the humour appeals to me.

Your rhino inserts and other interruptions indluenced me to turn this off 3 minutes in.

Haha! Nice. Thanks for the feedback. It seems to have had a polarising effect 🤷🏻
