- Here we can see the only Tiger 2 restored to running order in the World.
This King Tiger belongs to the Saumur Tank Museum in France and was recently repainted in a more authentic paint scheme.
This was recorded at the Overlord Museum in Colleville-sur-Mer, France, during the 80th Anniversary of the landings in Normandy.
Listen to the magnificent sound of this Königstiger's V12 Maybach! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Probably the best looking tank ever built.
We are fortunate that they were rare and unreliable.
What a magnificent machine!!
Её боевое применение окончилось полным провалом. Многие экипажи просто бросали этот танк и спасались бегством
@@Keef19661 the tank was excellent, the main issue was that most of the time was driven by inexpert crews

The living legend
Still scary, ; Those poor Sherman tanks seeing a couple of these emerge from a tree line would be terrifying
If they even get close enough to see them.
Couldn’t even the tiger one pen a Sherman from so far away that the Sherman couldn’t even hit the tiger
@@steveperuski5547 That could be true, but I never heard it phrased that way. But, ya, with the short barreled gun, I think the Sherman couldn't pen the front even at point blank.
I got a bunch of stories flashing through my head right now, lol, but when I wrote that reply I was thinking of two Jagdtigers that were sent to defend a village. They were able to set up and prepare, and from their positions took out at least 25 Shermans and successfully defended the village. So, I was just envisioning the tanks shooting from cover and not even being spotted until the fight was over.
I had heard a story of a Sherman and Tiger surprise meeting where the Sherman fired, failed pen, and immediately ran away, and the Tiger tried to return fire but an electrical failure prevented them. Again, just a story, it's hard to tell what is real and what is legend, tho.
Das ist schon ein Beeidruckendes Monster.
Good video 😊
Beyond awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stunning. Saw it at the victory museum but these are better surroundings
Une sacrée bestiole wooaaa 🤤👍😘🇫🇷
it feels like they improved the inner parts of the engine as they can run it even more fast unlike previous tiger ii runs in saumur
Yes, it runs better than what I've already seen!
@@Tanksandmore I’ve even seen a recent footage of it doing a neutral turn, a rare sight to see as the engine would break down because of the stress
Yes; s.pz.abt. 503 had 45 with early turret. And Panzer Lehr had five. 1st SS s.pz.abt. 101 got fifteen or so to replenish the battalion in July or August.
I think s.pz. abt. 505 was first unit to get on Eastern Front.
The Tiger II saw action in Normandy?
