- Microsoft just released a new version of Copilot, called Copilot Pro. Let me show you what copilot pro is, how to access it, and some practical ways of using it in this video.
Copilot used to be called Bing Chat. If you haven’t used the regular copilot before, it’s an AI chatbot, powered by ChatGPT. You can access it copilot.microsoft.com/

Once you get access to Copilot Pro, you get access to GPT-4 Turbo, more fast image generation inside of DALLE and you get copilot inside of Microsoft Office for individual or family plans.
Here are a few things you can do inside of office 365 using copilot.
In Microsoft word, you can quickly get a summary of a document. You can also quickly change the writing style and reading level of a document.
Copilot can also change any content into table format in one click.
In Microsoft PowerPoint, copilot can create an entire slideshow with a simple text prompt. It will also add speaker notes within each slide.
In Microsoft Outlook, you can use copilot to quickly summarize emails or draft a reply.

A showstopper for me is all your documents except Word I think have to be on OneDrive at least here on my Mac. Not sure why but it's a show stopper for me.
Thanks for walking us through. For some reason, I could not get Copilot Pro on the installed Microsoft 365 apps; it's only available on the web version. I'm unsure if it is because I use M365 Personal or access it from a different location.
Try reinstalling the app. That’s what I had to do and then, they appeared

It seems it only works as a web version that opens your one drive docs? This eliminates access to some of the Word features when editing a doc. It does not seem to imbed into a word doc natively. I have to use copilot in the “side panel.” I only briefly tried it so maybe I did not find all of the user interfaces. But using it to edit docs on the web is not optimal.
With the release of Microsoft Copilot Pro and with the release of AutoGen Studio, I will now opt out of GPT Plus. For capabilities that is not yet offered by Copilot, I'd use OpenAI API. I don't it is going to cost me $20 with the API. :)

How long does it take for the Microsoft apps to get integrated with copilot, I signed up for it this morning after watching your video and tried to update my apps. I was able to get the copilot logo on Word and PowerPoint relatively quickly, but not on outlook as yet it’s been 5 hours. is there a trick to that?
I think you need the new Outlook for Co-Pilot, I'm not a 100% sure though

not even the free version is limited. You have a limit per chat, but it only affects the "extension" of a single conversation chat.
Sir, do we get the reference your content button in copilot pro in word? I am not seeing that yet. (i have office 365 family account and copilot pro)

Just update Office 365 and reopen a word or PPT or excel file, then you will see the copilot button just like the demo.
I updated, but didn't see the reference button. I am seeing the copilot button, just not the reference file button. Even reinstalled office 365. But still the same. The word online version also doesn't have this file reference button in the copilot window

Copilot Pro seems worth it even without adapting it to MS products. I also think Copilot is more engaging and interactive compared to OpenAI ChatGPT. The latter's limit is 40 messages / 3 hours. Is there a similar limit for Copilot Pro, and is it still restricted to 30 messages per chat?

It's not very good yet inside of Excel. But I think it will be soon. I wouldn't use it for organizing sheets yet. Only creating templates.

It's probable that GPT-4 will remain available for the free version, while GPT-5 might be introduced as a benefit for Copilot Pro subscribers in the future.

My all word, n other Microsoft apps related work is attached to work email, n my small firm which has headcount less thn 100, can't afford copilot fr business, then if I purchas fr individual fr my gmail id, then I can't use it efficiently as with my gmail id no work docs attached, why Microsoft not allowing me to buy it fr my work id login with my money not firms money????
The fact that a full business license for Office is only $12.50/mo BUT they think this is worth $20 or $30 per month is crazy. I don’t see hardly anyone buying it or what the big advantage is over the many free or far cheaper options.

I bought co-pilot pro last night. Not impressed so far.. Was never impressed with co pilot fka bing chat. Frankly only bought Pro version to test custom gpts, which aren’t available yet.

you don't 'need' the 365 personal/family plan JUST to use Copilot Pro, but of course it becomes so much more powerful when coupled with Word/Powerpoint/Outlook/etc.
Also you don't need a website to access it, windows 10/11 PC can launch it with Windows + C shortcut.
Can we sue Microsoft for adding programs to our PC under the guise of update? I thought you had to give consent to non essential updates.

They're great for students who have no $$ to spend. Copilot does all the tabling for me, research WITH citation (we can use our library accept to get past paywall), helps me write papers, edits my assignments for me, tells me my schedule, runs on gpt-4 so once in a while it can throw jokes at me all that for free lol Saves me so much time too win win I love ms for making this available to us (I haven't used Google in awhile now lol). Can't wait to invest money into it once I'm done with uni.

@@dkhawk12It’s not just reskinned. They have performed additional fine-tuning and likely additional RLHF to modify its behavior to try to be more fit to this specific purpose. But some people don’t like the modifications.
