Jane Austen, wonderful woman. Austen died a spinster. I don't think Mr Darcy is just a fictional character. Jane Austen modelled Mr Darcy on someone she loved, or was enamored with. She carried, nourished emotions in her bosom, subdued emotions. Pain , love, desire, unfulfilled longing

It will always be very difficult which Darcy people like because Colin's version was spread over 6 hours where Matthews is over 2hours with Colin's version you saw more of Darcy's life and how Wickham affected his and his sister's life but with Matthews we got the Rain scene and mist scene very hard to choose
