    I DID IT!!!
Your method inspired me to put bikes on the wall in my garage. I created shelves using two 1x4's and attached them together using wood glue, clamps, and drywall screws. I attached the shelves to the walls using a stud finder, and deck screws. I used an eye bolt attached to a vertical stud and then created a U-hook from scraps of 1x4's. The hook connected to the eye bolt using zip ties. If I knew how to post photos of my system, then I would do that - my system works exactly like yours and was inspired by yours but my system is slightly different. The zip ties I used were attached "long" so, when the bike was mounted, I was able to shorten them while making sure there was enough room to easily attach the (wooden) hook. I hope all these words are not confusing - sorry for any confusion.
    Thank you very much!!!

MTB wheels on CX bike? Apologies, it's a bit long-winded!
Hi there, not sure where to post this kind of a question for it to be read so let me try here :) Looking to swap my not-so-user-serviceable wheelset for something I can actually repair at home and is cheap enough not to worry too much about it (disc brakes here, so maybe deore wheels?) Trying to convert CX to something gravel-friendly on a tight budget. Apparently my frame's got clearance for up to 700x40c if I were to believe the interwebs. Currently running Schwalbe CX's 30c with Fulcrum Racing Sport CX DB. IIRC they have 19mm internal rim width, so I won't be able to go too wide anyway, might as well swap them. The wheels are so OEM that there isn't even a service manual and I've got them in the workshop as you apparently can't even get a freehub for them in retail!
How stupid of an idea it is to sell these asap while the bearings & stuff is new and buy something more appropriate for the job? Was even thinking of 650s I commute daily 15kms on road, but the idea is to be able to hit the offroad straight after work. I'm based in the UK so all-weather-all-terrain stuff will work, no need for dual-wheelset!
Pozdrosss, Danny, zainspirowales mnie do dlubania chociaz nie wiem czy przeklinac Cie czy dziekowac :)

I believe you can easily pick one up at any home depot. or just make your own. put it on a bench vice and bend it. aluminum is easy, if you do steel rod, cheater pipe will help.

I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. czcams.com/users/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...
