• Akane's character actually have a lot of flags since his personality is evolving around Aoi. He doesn't have a backstory or a reason for liking Aoi THAT MUCH more than the fact that she cried for him when they were kids
I don't hate Akane, but I see a lot of wasted potential in him and in his relationship with Aoi, in a platonic and romantic way. I tried to explore a little bit of that in the animatic.
Akane could've been a supportive friend instead of hitting people who liked Aoi with a bat and the manga could've show more of his friendship with Aoi instead of just telling us that they're childhood bestfriends and use random flashbacks in Aoi's arc.
So basically, this is an Aonene animatic... With Aoiaoi platonic relationship.
As a multishipper, I feel the waste of potential 😔

Yes i see your point but in the manga there are very good reasons for the ship.
@@bug3050 hm- they have nice aesthetic scenes, but their canon relationship it would be still toxic since Akane doesnt have something to actually bring to the relationship more than- practically worshipping Aoi, like in the extras we've seen (he has a literal sanctuary of her) while Aoi at this point has a so low self esteem that she cant even recognize her own good points as a person. They're not in good places so a romance can begin, and they codepent on each other since Akane has his all personality revolving around Aoi, and Aoi just wants Akane to be there... because since it's a bond she had since she was a kid, it was the only one she can depend on. But that's not how actual healthy relationships are born.
I love the potential they had as a couple, but I dont actually like the execution of it in the manga.
Aoi is such a realistic character and I relate to her a lot. You be someone else in public so people like you, and you don't feel happy still, because you feel like nobody really knows you and you can't depend on anyone

She's actually a really complex character if you think about it, but being not part of the main cast makes it too difficult to find people that talk about it. I am a believer in one sided Aoi x nene. It just makes sense to me! Not because they’re besties or whatever-
but because (spoilers for the manga) when the time keeps travel in time and change the present, Aoi was saying to nene “but today I get to have you all to myself..” and idk I just get these undertones of her either being in denial of liking nene or just pushing it down and pretending it doesn’t exist because she doesn’t want to ruin her relationship with nene.

Miss/sir/nonbinary user there, i rp to in my free time and is one of my many many hobbies, so I get where the comment came from, but as a rp user too, is slightly rude to intervene in something rp unrelated with these kind of comments.
It's totally valid that you dont ship aoinene, or in that your point of view, aoi would be uncomfortable with that kind of ship, but still this is more for the fans of the ship since it's just a little AU to do.

The reason Shipping Wiki has so many ships is because it has more than just canon pairings. If you don’t even ship AoiNene then go look at the truckload of HanaNene content instead of telling off a small ship that already has it hard.
