If we don't have features of our native indigenous people the aetas.. which are dark skinned, flat nosed, curly haired, and stand tall at 5 feet flat, we can no longer claim to be PURE filipinos. Our general population's dominant look of being Asian Malays.. comes from our neighbors from the Malay Peninsula (Malasians, Indonesians) who came in droves and cohibited with our natives centuries before the Spaniards came. That's why these people who are shaming our beautiful half blood pinays being sent abroad for international beauty competitions, with american or europian mixed bloods, should stop protesting and complaining that we should be sending PURE filipinas, supposed to be with Asian looks, because in truth as long as you are not looking like an aeta, you are definitely mix blooded already from our early ancestors. lol, layo ng topic mo. identity crisis is "a period of uncertainty and confusion in which a person's sense of identity becomes insecure, typically due to a change in their expected aims or role in society". Ikaw lang naman ang confuse sila hindi, kung alam mo identity mo then you don't have identity crisis pero kapag pinipilit mo ang identity mo sa ibang race or ethnicity kahit obvious naman sa itsura mo na you're out of the line then that's identity crisis. Ex. Fil-Am considered themselves as Pacific Islanders when in fact we are not. We share ancestry through Austronesian, but the term Pacific Islanders refers to someone who has ancestry from the Pacific islands/countries. The Philippines geographically speaking ay belong sa Asia. Those Fil-Ams are ignorant about their identity or maybe they have just been taught that they are Pacific Islanders because some of us can fit their looks also there are reasons why Filipinos were considered Pacific Islanders during WWII, just search na lang sa net yung full details. But to summarize, some for-safety purposes during the war to hide yung identity and some are simply just being ignorant. I'd just remembered those things during my senior high school days. Pansin mo ba na mostly Fil-Ams lang na lumaki sa America ang nagclaiclaim ng Pacific Islander heritage. Yun lang ang isang halimbawa ng identity crisis (Ethnicity Identity Crisis since yun naman ang main point) pero sa pinas mostly wala naman ganun masyado. Ikaw lang ata ang di kilala ang sarili mo.

Most Filipinos have Austronesian descent (Malay, Indo), many Filipinos have Chinese descent, and a very small percentage of Filipinos have Spanish descent, Aeta, Indian, etc. Research mo lalabas yan sa google. Basa muna bago commonsense. Gagana lang commonsense when you have enough knowledge based on facts to prove your arguments, and questions in mind.
