What's insane to me is when i was growing up in the 80s and 90s, you got bullied if you had braces. Now all the kids and even adults want them for clout or some crazy sht 😂
I so agree! I had braces 50 years ago with all that metal (but did not wear my retainer after). This time is so much faster, easier and not painful. Great improvement 👍
Great to see this. 6 months in and I’ve been in power chains the last 3 months. I like them a lot and don’t get the fear around them. They’re more convenient & less painful than brackets.

You don't have to! I have these braces inclusive power braces, I am 52 and started the braces last year. It is expensive but worth every effort, and the braces don't hurt.
No need to be afraid. I've had braces before. When you get braces there will be discomfort for a few days about a week of discomfort. But there is a trick to it. The wire is heat sensitive to the mouth if you eat something cold it will deactivate the wires to stop moving for a while. If it hurts to bad take some pain meds it will take the pain edge off. Depending on how your treatment length of braces it should be up to 12 to 18 months of braces or two years at the most. The beginning stages are a little rough but you'll get used to it as the treatment proceeds. Good luck on your bracket treatment journey.

You don't have to be, I just got ny braces off in May after having them on for 3 years and it's so worth it! The pain doesn't last forever and you get to choose colors for them (I always chose my colors to match the holidays)😭and once you get them off you'll have an amazing smile❤️❤️

I had to come out of a double power chain (top and bottom) last month because my top front teeth to the right were extremely sensitive to everything.
I told them to give me a month with just the bands on the top with the hopes that the sensitivity would go away but it's still there.
I'll be back double power chain in a few days 😮💨

I had braces 48 years ago and they were painful as hell!! Or what I imagine hell would be. 😮
Kind of jelly that my ortho didn't have the chains in rainbow color gradients like that gal did, those would have been so fun to have. Chains can make you feel a bit more tender when they're initially put in but they definitely help with accelerating the movement of teeth.

I had both. One as I was 9 - 12, but unfortunately my mother stoped the treatment and now I am back on it again at 52. I can assure you, the new system is way better!

Swish ice water in ur mouth! He said that in another video, it’s cuz the wire is heat activated so ice cold water will make the pain less 😗

I have a front tooth that I chipped at an angle. The part they glued on came off twice now idk if I should get it fixed or just leave it. Kinda thought about getting a gold tooth. Whatever you tell me you think is best I will do

I dont know why braces are still used, with Invisalign’s being a thing now. They are better looking, less painful, easy to make, and remove easily for brushing.
Many people like to get the colors. With braces you get more excitement with the finish result because your teeth are covered and you can see your teeth are straight with braces and the day you get them off is heartwarming. Plus if you think about how the younger people getting multiple rounds starting around 8 years old can help them be accountable with taking care of their braces without having to worry about losing them(Invisalign). Plus certain cases can’t be fixed(tho majority can still) with Invisalign’s so they have to go the route of braces. I’m the end it’s all about preference. I’m glad I was able to have braces over having Invisalign because of the colors I could choose each appt and the excitement with getting them off for the reveal. I was in braces for 2.5+ years with crowding, underbite, and gaps. Plus had to get 4 wisdom teeth removed. But generally I had a fairly easy run with them.
Invisalign is ultimately not an option for everyone. Invisalign is good for people who just have some minor to moderate crowding, and maybe skme minor bite issues. Invisalign is not good for pulling teeth across great distances or for rotating teeth like braces can. Invisalign only works to rotate within a certain degree.
