In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Komedie
Often I feel sorry for Little Alex Horne for all the abuse he´s put through from the contestants, but then I force myself to remember that the show is his own creation. 😂

Rhod almost always resorting to put Alex through "fairly structured torture" when presented with any task is among my favorite things in that series.

The genius of keeping the camera in the lab room while we hear the audio from Joe cooking in the kitchen is just... Perfection
For a show that lets comedians do essentially whatever they want, it’s incredibly well filmed. They always use creative angles and funny film techniques, seemingly on the fly.
I'm guessing the cameracrew actually followed him there and filmed but they ended up choosing to use the footage of the stationary cameras instead, twas a good choice!
I love Alex's little wave to the audience when Sally calls him an attractive young man. It is a moment worthy of public acknowledgement.
He's so cute. I love him.

Some of these tasks weren't weird until one of them made it weird

I just love how they spoil us with not only full episodes, but compilations as well. Kudos to this channel and hello from Romania!
Rewatching Frank Skinner go through the pies, I'd probably do the same thing, especially since it was the first season of TM and no one there, other than maybe Tim Key, knew anything about the show and how they try to misdirect/hide shit. It also made me think about why here in the US we don't really do savory pies other than chicken pot pie, I've never had a steak pie, but I know what I'm making this weekend because that looked delicious!

What I love about British comedy vs American is British comedians seem to give less of a shit about making themselves look perfect. Funny shit happens that doesn't make them look the best and they just roll with it. This is what I truly love about this show, everyone is just here for a good time and some laughs. American comedy is much more about making fun of others and less about making fun of yourself, but this show is making fun of yourself in such a pure way. Hope it doesn't end for a long long time.

That is inherently weird. But making a mundane task weird is way up on the weird scale. Cus you know, it was not expected.

Grow the longest nail - I'm surprised nobody tried measuring a twig then carving into a wooden nail at the end. Pretty sure most trees grow 15-20" a year or about 3-4" in 10 weeks.
