I love this!! Ghost Quartet is one of my favorite shows, and seeing it fully staged like this is amazing!! The performers all do such a wonderful job
I just started but I love that guy's voice, it's got a very "I could yodel if I wanted to" tone
Incorporating costume changes must be a CHALLENGE, and having Rose slowly be drawn into the memories of her past lives instead of just melting into Pearl's story is done SO smoothly, both those women should have great careers ahead.
Even the cuts are so tight. I don't even noticed a verse got skipped over until I hear the lines.
Okay I really have to give another credit to Patrice, she really sells the type of grief that would involve Lady Usher saying "I forgive you"
I was about to say Hayden didn't have much emotion in his voice as Shah Zaman, but I think it's just a subtle emotion, a tugging emotion. Like he can't let it out but it's still leaking. It's more like he's already grieving, instead of Brent Arnold's version where he's trying to avoid grief by talking up the aftermath.
The set design, the lighting, every bit of this is so incredible. It somehow retains the intimacy and simplicity of Annie Tippe's original production while adding so much. PLEASE tell me I can purchase the full show somewhere.
Amazing.
The production values here are incredible! I wish I could listen to the full versions of the songs ;(
Thank you! Check out Dave Malloy's production to hear the entire work - it's gorgeous!
