I remember going from the station in a yellow BR Bedford CF Minibus up to Kingmoor Depot in 1976 for a look round on a BR Permit. Busy Depot with Repair and servicing going on with 08’s, 24’s, 25’s 40’s and 47’s. And the Red Cowans Sheldon Breakdown Crane parked next to the Depot access road. Thanks DRS for taking this Depot on. KD.
From my tatty ABC Loco shed book from 1961, I see Carlisle was served by THREE sheds. 12A KINGMOOR, 12B UPPERBY (Penrith) and 12C CANAL. After watching you video I’ll add 12A to my ‘visited’ list 🤭

Thanks for a fab video from the Kingmoor open day. Plenty of shining locos and you managed a couple of horn blasts 📢📢👍🏼
A Shame no class 20s or 37s aren't on the DRS scene anymore, I hope the 37/4s have been preserved, they where good machines in service.
A great selection of diesels, plenty of the Class 66 "Sheds"

Great video, not one 37.. have they all been sold off ?
Interesting video.
Been many, many years since I went to an open day.
Still isnt better than the 7 minutes of tractor thrash at crewe!
How to feel sea-sick on dry land.....Virtually unwatchable!
