lowkey thought he was gonna cry for a second there
XDDDDDDD
I wish more ppl clapped for that :(
deez nutz are one of the good ones
Came here for inspiration to write an OO, left with a very important message. Thank you for this, Haris. Nuance really is lost in the current age, so we must seek to look at and even cherish complexity.
*semantics has entered the chat*(As in we can't axiomize any social language, so there is no "complexity" or nor rigorous definition of it )
This was his SECOND time on the nationals stage... Amazing.
Masha'allah, this oratory has it all! An original topic, references to current events and controversies, humor, emotional moments, sophisticated vocabulary, literary devices, and perfect delivery. Haris, you are an inspiration to me. Your eloquent words will echo in my mind as I work on my original oratory for my upcoming speech season. I hope to one day stand on the NSDA stage and move people the way you have. Good luck at Columbia University; you have a bright future ahead of you!
stereotypes are not an original topic he just repackaged it so that it was not as cliche.
in short - professional demagogy
You: **uses all these fantastic words to explain how he's awesome**
Me, who was doing writing homework: **being proud of myself for using words such as 'manner'**
Me: **looks at this video for reference and sees this comment**
Me: **Mike (from Monsters INC)'s staring face meme thing**
he has women's clothing in his future LOL
The born male orator is now claiming to be a girl.
I'm a freshman in high school. The last speech I wrote for Original Oratory took me 10 hours and I won a decent amount of competitions. Recently I've decided to put in the effort and try to attempt to win a national competition one day. I really believe I have the potential and if I spend enough time working on it that I will manage to do so, I look at this video every so often as a way to see the caliber that my work must reach in order to do this. I hope I manage to fulfil that dream and this speech has really inspired me in many ways.
goodluck my man! also a freshman here but idk if im that good at it lol. I'll keep trying though
How's that been?
Haris, this is so brilliantly put!
Please ask your dad to pen down another of his masterpieces.
PLEASEEEE!
Love and wishes from India. 🌸
By far one of the best speakers I’ve ever listened to. In college I won three national forensic championship awards, and made it to the final rounds in numerous speech events at both national and international tournaments. During my forensics career I had the privilege of witnessing some of the most amazing and talented orators in this country. However, very few were at this young man’s caliber. His conversational speaking tone is effortless, and his genial demeanor and non-verbal gestures underscore just how talented he is. I do have to say, his smile literally lights up the room. I can see the judges smiling back each time he does, or giggling each time he makes a facial expression. Very seldom is there this type of talent at the high school level.
i remember laughing in the audience to this at nats. So happy to find this again.
Sir, you wrote such a good speech that during my international speech and debate competition the person who won second place for OO copied yours. Ultimately his disqualification should bump me up to second place from third. Merci!
lmaoooo i hope u get ur trophy king
I didn’t realize it was like Miss America and if 2nd place was unable to fulfill their duties, then 3rd place gets the crown lol
He sounds like an aspiring woke comedian who got rejected by Netflix, then parlayed that skill into orating
And now he’s accepted by Disney+ as a transgender comedian muslim in western
@@mahdiamini9649 so true
@@mahdiamini9649this is a fucking HIGH SCHOOL student maybe get off your ass and actually do something worthwhile
This really is a splendid speech. Bundles of love from Pakistan.
Love you dear
You've got it Harris and that smile of yours lit up the whole world!!! 🤩😊😍 All the best 😊
You’re a beautiful speaker Haris. I adore your style of speaking and the way you interject humor into your serious OOs, making them refreshing while keeping the seriousness of the issue.
"We must make commitment to meaningful communication."
This whole speech is an eye-opener.
This guys smile is infectious
Brillant speech. Congratulations on your work and commitment! It’s a long road to that stage, it’s far from easy
I sometimes come back to watch this again! So good!
I came here just too see what a son of a great writer can be ? And am not disappointed. Your fabulous . Your point on current event framing into a humorous way is amazing ! You are amazing and a handsome one at it 😀
Wow! Fantastic and masterful. He demonstrates so much control yet is so authentic. Speech gave me chills three quarters of the way through. A deserved champion!
This is the reason I decided to do Oratory. He’s so concise and this speech moved me. He’s going places.
Absolutely amazing. That intro- loved it!! You are a great inspiration for me, a hopeful oratory kid ;)
lmao I'm back again, i literally love this oratory so much
This is the best OO I've ever had the privilege of watching. Congratulations!
A spectacular speech! It beautifully integrated bits of light-hearted humor, while on much heavier subjects.
came here to look for an example of oration for my lesson, ended up having a crush on this guy. oh god.
but let not be my reaction reduced to that. he has done this so beautifully and so intelligently. the topic is original, the delivery is excellent, and everything is just right.
This. This is an amazing speech. And it reminded me, that as debaters, we also tend to simplify complex issues for easy solvency and efficiency, instead of truly recognizing the complexity of their nature.
The most talented ever PERIODT
EVERYONE needs to see this
All the great elements of what persuasive oratory is observed here. Wow Proud parents he must have.
Agreed with every sentence of the speech.
Too good!
great speech! I'm excited to see what speech you will come up with this year!
Watching this for my forensics class 😭 oh my god this man is perfect at this
I'm a big fan of your teeth. They're pretty great.
You deserve more subscribers for posting this. Great speech you gave!
Son - a great orator

IM CRYING THIS IS THE GREATEST FORENSICS PIECE IVE EVER SEEN
Brilliant.
Excellent presentation and excellent content. The gorgeous smile is a bonus.
Haris, your smile is so infectious ❤❤
Brilliant! Deep yet funny...you nailed it!
Saw this man’s “Man problem” live in 2018 and very glad he won the whole competition in 2019. This is my first time seeing this speech
why are they hiding his "man problem" speech video
Amazing speech
I decided to watch this as a form of guide for writing a hook on a simple discussion post essay for a college class. After a bit of initial skepticism, that this scrawny kid could have really won nationals for a speech involving BLM, the skeptisim was quickly disarmed. He diffuses tension, and boasts confidence in his jokes and witty banter. Its relatable, And thats when I realized this truly is magic.
Wonderful presentation in all regards, and a clearly deserving winner.
I LOVE YOUUUU
I love his piece!
This is so cool!
I can picture this guy being president of something one day...hopefully our country.
yes, there is a need to have a professional demagogue in the office
@@sergeydenisov15 This is how we are taught to speak in original oratory.

Great speech
Waoh ! Well spoken ! Keep it up !👌
the part about the gun debate reminded me of a scene in a movie, where someone wore a shirt that said "Guns don't kill people, I kill people"
Good Job @Haris.
WOAH
great speech great speech 10/10 would smash
so impressive dear wow
where can we get the full transcript of his speech?
Nice job Harris
One criticism the 1 + 1 = 2 thingy while it did have the appropriate effect, doesn't actually take that long to prove(i.e prove addition recursively). And the Albert Einstein quote was taken out of context(But still had the desired effect) he was talking about how mathematical physics greatly simplifies things, but at the same time it explains such elegance(GR and SR)
❤🎉
simply put, people just have the wrong idea its not that they kept it simple.
Dapper,swaggy boi.

Ummm... I don't know if I can simply put anything now😅
But it's undeniable that, yes everywhere today ' communities are categorised, issues are minimized and people are dehumanized'. The utopia no longer holds, we are fragmented as humans, segregated as communities and integrated by hatred. As much as I try to deny it there's no coming to term with the current scenario.
@Haris hosseini u killed it though 🙌
This is brilliantly honest and hilarious

I'm getting this uncanny sense of Obama's spirt, peppered with a hint of classic Bill Clinton's hand gestures. LOVE IT...
is it normal that i feel anxiety watching this?
é um show de standup ou competição de oratória????
a simple solution is to get engineer to run the whitehouse. not lawyers. maybe one day we can have nation wide high speed rail too.
his evidence of bruce rauner's "mmm, diversity!" was so far-stretched and out of context. the governor was invited on stage by hyatt's vp of global diversity and he was leading the demonstration abt diversity in the workplace using the chocolate milk. although i do admit the anaolgy is a bit like child's play, the argument isn't supported. really dislike when supposedly great speeches use certain situations like these that does not support their thesis at all. but other than that, great speech layout and delivery with depth nuance.
bro its a highschool speech shut up
