Since recording this video, the world record has been beaten by ANOTHER 1.5 minutes. The FNAF Security Breach speedrunning community has some insanely intelligent people, and they are just gonna keep making this speedrun get faster and faster. I definitely recommend continuing to watch how this speedrun progresses, because I'm pretty sure speedruns are going to get even crazier within the next few weeks

When "Dissasemble Vanny" happens, it is the robots ripping out her internals and organs because she is not an animatronic.
Poor vanny i feel sad shes controled by glitchtrap and forced to kill u i feel bad for killing her well. It was kill or be killed ending for dissaemble vanny but its still sad

I have to assume the "voice volume at 0" thing is due to certain events being scripted to wait for the audio line to finish playing, and at the same time, when the volume is 0 the audio line simply isn't played. Both of these design choices make sense: why hard-code a timer at every point when it comes up (which is more work AND a more rigid approach -- what if a voice line changes? What if the game is dubbed into another language where the voice line has a different length? etc.) when you can just dynamically base it on the audio? But then also, why bother loading and playing a sound file that's inaudible? Might as well save the processing power by just not playing anything. So just like that, turning the volume to 0 makes the next trigger active immediately and lets you move through the game faster.
and it makes for a good speedrun mode, where the game tells itself to completely stop teaching the player mechanics, since a speedrunner already knows whats going on by heart
I don't think the second solution of not loading the sound file makes sense unless you're expecting very low end hardware which might somehow gain performance from not loading a sound file.

Do your sound files not sure the length of the sound in the metadata? Just use that as the time to wait. That's kinda the default in most games because you already need to know when to stop playing sound (otherwise you'd just start playing random memory)

If you get close to a pirate cove as Freddy there's a dialogue about him saying "I don't come up here anymore. I miss him" that also includes Bonnie bowling

One thing that tripped me up was finding the day care generators in the dark, even with a flashlight
I've been banging this drum since GTLive's first video, but I'm almost entirely certain they had _NO_ beta testers _at all._ There's no way they did. There's just too much about it that's broken. Makes for a _hilarious_ speedrun, though. Ten. Fricken. Minutes.
I find Roxanne being such an advanced robot she developed self esteem issues very relatable.

Hi Ben just finished 6 45 any% on security breach this was really helpful if you ever do decide to speedrun this game again at the beginning you can actually skip right to fazer blast by going in the corner to the left of the party pass and jumping up a wall until you are out of bounds thank you so much for the awesome content and the inspiration for my speedrun!
Fun fact: If you get caught by Vanessa in the intro, you can effectively skip most of the game as you are immediately brought to the lost and found room.

The jumpscares are very underwhelming and you never get that feeling that you can be attacked anytime (except for the daycare part), you always know when you're gonna die because of loud ass footsteps. Feels more like a quest game that a horror one

@@vectazeplayz yeah they all just use the same awkward low volume child scream, a terrible screen bobbling, an unnecessary flashing light and the animatronic animations are very goofy(with very few exceptions). I wish they could at least have made the animatronics look scarier, theyre definitely not in the scott style since he wasn't the developer for this

I think even without speedrunning boundary breaks, this game is still broken.
Outside of speedrunning, there's a hack in post-game where you grab the driver assist head from Roxy raceway and all the save spots work again.

@@Beartic. fusionZgamer sequence broke the game by accident when he played and in the later playthroughs hes constantly concered if hes in a soft lock state.
@@Beartic. ROBOT WILL NOT FORGET WHERE YOU ARE IF:
a. you hid in something the animatronic can see (whether the robo can see YOU does not matter)
b. you hid while the robo was chasing u (even if robo was super far away and didnt see u hide)
and its not even consistant, so i guess just make sure to never get seen by anything ever unless its a scripted event
also if there's a door you CAN open, but it's currently closed, an animatronic can and will walk through it to get to you
i also had a bunch of problems with the part of the map IM IN completely unloading and saving the game automatically once i fall in the void, so i got softlocked
and i did not try to trigger any of these bugs, they just happened and got really frustrating

Imagine being Vanny. You have some weird evil plan all nicely laid out. Then some 12 year just glitches through the walls
Something I noticed is that at the end of each hour when Freddy gets into a recharge station, him and the other animatronics get more damaged over the hours, this is a cool detail that some people could have missed!

Also i could have sworn in a gameplay that gregory was put into a recharge chamber and freddy was attacked and dragged away by the moon, with another animatronic slightly visible to the right of the screen, but then freddy's right there when you come out.
And no one was talking about it so it must have been a fever dream
@@catelynh1020 probably the Glichtrap virus slowly corrupting them. As you read some message in faz watch,other 3 animatronics outside Freddy acted strangely after getting their upgrade which is why they obey Vanny's order but not Freddy
@@catelynh1020 From what I saw, Freddy standing there was a game bug. Gregory never acknowledges that Freddy and he wasn't interactable.
Honestly it reminds me of the Batman Arkham games where Batman’s suit would get more and more scratched and stuff over the coarse of the game.

Woke: Being scared because getting caught will ruin the entire run.
I've forced my way out of a jumpscare before. Not sure which part of what I did caused it, but it was in the outer daycare area with Monty, I kept clicking left mouse, while hammering jump and backwards. It stopped the jumpscare mid animation, and broke Monty's animations and AI. I got caught again like 5 minutes later and noticed Monty was locked in one frame of an idle animation and just slid around instead of walking or running.

So I did the speedrun the game the exact way you did because I was bored and I got a glitch. So down where you first encounter Chica, I ran from her but I guess I got stuck on a wall and she got me. Instead of the checkpoint reloading, it teleported me into El Chips with the cameras, complimentary entry pass, flashlight and daycare pass. I guess since I didn’t save it couldn’t figure out where I was in the game and teleported me somewhere random. This is what I think and if you also have a reason for this let me know.

Fun fact, you can actually get killed by Moon in the cutscene where you see Vanny for the first time (specifically while Freddy’s walking to the recharge station). I would know. It happened to me.

Honestly, Chica looks way better in “FNAF: Security Breach” than she does in any of the other FNAF games.
Not to mention the shattered version is absolutely horrifying.
she looks way less frightening. i like original chica because she doesn't have any identifiers that she's a boy or a girl, therefore she looks more uncanny/less human. giving the animatronics too much personality makes them way less scary - roxy, monty and chica are goofy side-villains. the ones from FnaF 1 are mindless killing machines disguised as plushes.
@@solarprogeny6736 I personally disagree with the personality part. It makes man-made objects alive in a way, and it leaves you feeling like you’re dealing with another human. Roxy getting her eyes taken out and despite being a robot, I felt like I took another human’s eyes. She may have looked horrifying, but seeing the way she struggled out of devastation was disturbing and depressing. It put a lot of either disturbing or comforting realism into the things that weren’t meant to be alive
@@Tok07 right i agree that it's disturbing and depressing, but it strips the animatronics of their "threat" aspect. they become victims of the system, rather than the ones you are scared of, they are the ones you feel sympathy for.

I dont find horror games scary in general, but i feel like the first game at least had a tense atmosphere to it that made it unique. This one looks really interesting cause of the map but it doesnt look remotely like a horror game

I found a game-breaking glitch:
I'll call it void-walking. Basically, try getting into Freddy while jumping. It seems to cause the game to completely unload every asset except for doors. You can walk through the walls near the doors to skip some parts of the game.
Edit: found out that others knew already, I just didn't see anyone talking about it when I posted this lol
Yeah but there is one problem. The assets are gonna load at some point. So the player needs to be careful.

The way this game's speedruns are broken reminds me of the ones in Hello Neighbor speedruns 👀
security breach seems like a different kind of broken to me, while hello neighbor was glichy to a point that you would find game breaking bugs even when doing the dev intended things, and would commonly (at least for me) see casual youtuber playthroughs where they used glitches to get through big chunks of the game, and sometimes whole chapters, SB just seems kinda random most of the time, glitches will just kinda happen (or not) seemingly without the need of the player doing anything

I find it funny how the Freddy glitch where you can clip through walls is literally the exact same glitch as the one in Fallout 4 with the power armor

It's also funny that he also opens every door on the map. It's like that We've Got Hostiles skip in Half-Life but you don't have to actually try to position the NPC.

Tip, you can try clipping into one of the level 10 or 12 pass doors, if you fall completely out of bounds, you get the prompt for an ending, similar to the emergency exit ending!
Pretty sure that's a different speedrun category.

6:01 There is actually a more optimal path for the generator part, if instead of causing the distraction you go up the slide, you can actually go a different path to finish the area in about 40 seconds
theres no point in even creating the distraction regardless as moon cant enter the playsets until 3 generators are turned on.
Right yeah, forgot about that too, but the distraction could help if you got 3 before he got to it
