I did it in 2019 and this time too. The crowds were SO INCREDIBLE THIS YEAR! Didn’t think it could get much better than 2019, but despite the weather being gnarly, the crowds were just AMAZING!!! Was about to quit at around 37k and they started calling my name and I somehow made it to the end! Still not sure how, and I got a PB 🤷‍♂️👌🏃💪

Ben, I found it so difficult to watch this and not cry!! What great footage you got. I completed the London Marathon for the first time and oh my, it did not disappoint.
I’d only ever ran a 5km race before doing the marathon and I wasn’t able to train as much as I would have liked to due to injury. But was so pleased to get a time of 4 hours 1 minute despite this (I didn’t take into consideration the extra distance I would end up doing on the day to get around people, and high five the crowd, when planning my pacing. So close to that sub 4). As a running and marathon novice, I attribute my whole food plant based diet to my success on the day and my great recovery. I’ve been back on the netball court and back at CrossFit this week despite pushing my body to its limits on Sunday.
Thank you for all your content, it was invaluable in helping me to prepare for the big day. And thank you for being such a great advocate for veganism #plantpower!!!

Amazing video! Yeah I did London last year - the atmosphere is amazing - there's crowds the whole way through - the best part for me is cute shark and mile 13-15 - Tower Bridge didn't meet my super high expectations when everyone else said it was the best - there's not that much more people here than Rotherhithe when I came around.

Hi Ben, you are an absolute legend. I ran in the London Marathon as well on Sunday. It is almost impossible to describe the noise all along the street - I felt over whelmed at stages. It was just an amazing experience. Cramps got to my right calf and caused all sorts of issues for me. I could only run / walk from mile 16. Reflecting back, it may have been due to leg strength, hydration, number of runners affecting my natural stride length etc. All of which I am looking to put right for the next marathon. I will also look to use your training plan. Thank you for doing what you do. It is helping so many people.

Hi Ben, i ran London last sunday. Its was my first marathon and honestly just one of the best days of my life! Iv recovered from ovarian cancer 2 years ago and to get 5:41 at my first go i am so stoked. Been following your beginner training program and just wanted to say thanks so much its been brilliant. I ran wokingham too this year and would loved to have come and say hi. Well done on your time, no doubt you will crush that championship time later this year!

First ever London and I was simply overwhelmed by the support. On all the official pictures all you can see is a smile on my face. Greenwich was loud, Tower Bridge was crazy but Canary Wharf was insane. Well done all for getting it done.

I had the best time ever running this race. Was very nervous as I had some lower back and hip pains/sciatica in the week leading up and it all went away with the wave of energy from start to finish. Managed to get round in a respectable 3h 38. But most importantly I loved every second. Even the painful bit over the last 3 miles.

Hi Ben, Amazing effort as your video truly captured the atmosphere, course and all the incredible sights. It was my first London marathon and ranks right up there as one of my favorites! I saw you run past me on the other side of the course as that was a thrill for me after watching several of your London marathon videos preparing for the race. Congratulations once again and I’ll never forget my first London marathon! Hope to see you in Chicago 10/8/23 as I’ll be running as well!

Thank you for sharing your London Marathon experience! The crowd was as noisy as I remember. Ran in London in 1999, my 11th marathon, 3:32. Cutty Sark hadn't burned yet, had goosebumps on the Tower Bridge, almost cried. The finish was unforgettable. Got the medal from Jonathan Edwards.
