A complete documentary about the life of a leopard, from cub to adult, and its mother. There are also scenes concerning other wild animals. This documentary is well done and complete. Be aware that the end of the "story" is sad as the mother, which anyway was 11 years old at the time, was killed by a lion. Even if this is part of nature, I found it sad for an end of such a beautiful documentary, so I prefer to advise the viewers.
    leopard facts

    2) Human threat
    Habitat loss.
Killed for commercial reasons (fur ...), leopard-human conflict, hunt for fun. Kept unfree (zoos..., in small cages without vegetation + exhibited all day to another species). Used as tourist attractions. Petted. And surely others...
    3) Small description
opportunistic hunt, adaptability to habitats, max speed 58 kms/h (36 mph), ability to climb trees even with heavy carcass, stealth.
Its habitat ranged from rainforest to desert terrains. Elusive, solitary and largely nocturnal, it had to compete for food and shelter with predators such as lions, tigers, spotted hyenas, African & Asiatic wild dogs.

I wonder how many of these animals are left in this world now? Mankind are indeed lousy animals. We had done a lot of harm to this pradise and of course our world as well. Just hope we haven't done more damage to it and give this wonderful wild animal the space it needs to live.

Although I'm sensitive to the sentiment; as philosopher B. Haring proposes, these sentiments, however great, might be mere sentiments. Perhaps there's nothing wrong with loss of species an sich. Perhaps we, the dominating specie, who are heading towards 10 to 15 billion inhabitants, could cope with living in one giant park between cities easily. Perhaps there is no 'intrinsic' value of most animals as long as ecological liveability remains. Perhaps this sentiment is mere empathetic projection.

Thanks for spoiling the ending. You might want to issue a spoiler warning before you do that.
