    There is little info about these pumps online, and due to the items now be NLA and spare parts rarely available, I thought I'd make this video in hope of helping others in the future!

    I would never in a million years have got that thing back together again!! I’d have had a panic attack after trying to remember which way them slivers of blades went back in - great work

      Thanks Logan, yeh it was pretty daunting.. A lot of double checking before putting back together! That’s a big reason why I film everything, so i can remember how it goes back together!! Haha

    Great video! I have a seized S38 smog pump, doesn't seem like fixing it is for the faint of heart....

    With this S38 build, what condition is your air pump valve in? It's the vacuum operated valve that regulates the air going from the pump into the exhaust manifold. Mine is cream crackered. There are three points where air pipes connect but two have a steel sleeve and one is just aluminium, the aluminium connection on mine has just crumbled away to nothing...! Annoying as the actual valve works well.

      I won’t be using the air pump, have sold it off already. I’m happy to send you my old regulator if i can find it? No idea of condition but I’m sure it isn’t as bad as yours? If you contact me on insta @bad_e30 I’ll send it over FOC

    Did you use a different belt and just run the ac and idler? What belt if so?

    • @BadE30
      @BadE30  Před 2 lety +1

      I won’t be running AC! (UK car/space constraints in engine bay) so i won’t actually require that belt

      @@BadE30 its very hard to import videos on pc if its a large file, by the way we spoke through ebay when you put for sale the air intake manifold

      I edit, export and upload it on my phone! Saves messing around with pc’s. And yes I remember, that intake sold pretty quickly.

    Why would you throw it away alone with a EGR valve ?

    • @BadE30
      @BadE30  Před 3 lety

      It is only used for helping reduce emissions. It is not an EGR valve, plus I am going to sell it on to someone who will use it!
