@@deirdrevaughan5078 Especially Natalie.....We get to see the beautiful craftsmanship of Amaury, every episode we see who is in the kitchen making a grand feast, who is planting or harvesting in the garden....but we never get to see the hard work that Natalie performs daily. Administrative work is often overlooked. But I bet she personally sees to it that the entire Chateau runs smoothly. My hat is off to you, Natalie!

@@starrdate877 I don't think that pitting people against each other is necessary. Amaury very much works hard and deserves a break but so, too, does everyone else. We see very little of what goes on each day. If you want to advocate for someone having something, it doesn't mean you have to advocate against someone else in the process.

Happy anniversary to both you and your uncle and aunt. If you don't mind could you tell us the story of how two French sisters (Mami and aunt) ended up in England,married to English gentlemen. Plus, what does/did your uncle do for a living. I always imagine him doing sth really artistic 😀🤔❤️
Stephanie told the story in a vlog. The sisters are from a small French village and Isabelle went to London to be a nurse. She was a head nurse in a hospital ward before she and Derek restored two victorian homes for private nursing homes one after another. Derek was self taught as a painter and was a nurse also. Isabelle made sure he could have time to paint. Isabelle's younger sister came to live with them. Stephanie didn't say where her Uncle is from up north. Aunt, Uncle and two sons lived with Stephanie's parents, Stephanie and Gerry. So Stephanie said Amaury is like another brother. One day Stephanie should interview them for the details of how they met.😘😘😘

Of course, those of us who don't speak it think her French is amazingly good. I'd have thought her accent would be perfect, learning and speaking with Isabelle all her life.
I never thought of her having an English accent in French. But it makes perfect sense haha
Even to an English person you can hear it doesnt sound like a native French speakers' French does. It sounds less smooth and more awkward. I'm sure it's lovely to a French ear, although I was told that the French don't enjoy French spoken with an English accent. Whereas we English love to hear English spoken with a French accent.
So glad there is a Lalande dog! And the flowers along the castle border are a keeper. Please do them every year.

They all love Phillip because he is making their daughter/niece so happy. That’s all a family could ask for, for their treasured one to be happy and Stephanie positively glows. I’m sure they love Nati as much as she is making Amaury so happy too it’s just with the B&B running Nati is so busy she doesn’t figure as much in the vlogs. Come winter I’m sure we will see much more of Nati and Amaury.

I swear I saw Salvias amongst the plants you pointed out. In north Texas we grow a lot of Salvia greggii. It's a prolific bloomer and pretty drought tolerant. They also come in several shades from red to pink, purple and blue.
I love the ferns and heuchera too. Heuchera, aka corral bells, have both attractive foliage and pretty flowers.
Your crew of gardeners and volunteers have taken great care of the grounds. What a delight!
