I’m an INFP. I am currently a Civil Engineer and working as a Field Inspector in construction industry. There are many things you may need to catch up but no one expects you to catch things up immediately. We’ll learn how to use Se and Ti soon. Just be aware. It may feel forced and fake at first, but we have a strength that we could borrow personalities of someone and become one of those people. Ne helps us be flexible as well. We can do it

Awesome to hear from you 😍! It's gonna be tough in the beginning. Glad to hear that you've been through this unique industry.

I’m an INFP and work as cybersecurity engineer for 3yr, IT project management for 1yr, and I just got burn out. Now I work in the middle of nowhere as farm hand (sometimes as chainsaw operator) and feel so much happy and meaningful

Engineering is a big NO for any INFP imo . Its requires effort , precision , focus and highly sensing and thinking cognitive function which INFP lacks completely . I studied engineering and failed miserably wasting my time and money . If you put effort in being something which you are not , you will be best at being the worst in that profession of project .

You are so right on so many levels lol! We are definitely working on some of our major weaknesses in Engineering. However, I must say that if one likes Engineering, they should go for it. Also, we should not set too high expectations of ourselves in Engineering. Thanks for commenting!😃👍Appreciate it❤️

I am INFP 3 and doing chemical engineering currently but thinking of dropping out because I lack the lab skills and thinking function. What do u suggest and do u handle lots of equipments in ur job?

Hi about a year late but hope you are doing good now! I'm a 20M INFP from Singapore and I'm in my final year at my Mechanical Engineering diploma course! Just like you before I started school, I enjoyed Maths and Physics in Secondary school and wanted to pursue an engineering course but I had many doubts about whether I could survive in Engineering or not! I still decided to give it a try and fast forward 3 years later and I'm in my internship about to graduate soon. My 3 years in Engineering school has many ups and downs and there were even times when I had broken down from emotional distress because I can't handle the pressure and struggled with most of the projects/assignments but I still managed to get through it and thinking back now, I actually had a fun and memorable time with my lecturers and classmates and I definitely don't regret studying engineering. But I have to admit, I don't really enjoy my engineering internship because of the stress and fast paced environment so I might change to other options instead. So if you are really passionate about Engineering despite being an INFP, my advice is DON'T be afraid and just go for it!! If you decide this is really not your ideal career choice, you can always change or try other careers instead!! Rmb that despite our weaknesses as an INFP, we can succeed if we work hard and follow our passion!! All the very BEST!!! 😄

I’m an INFP Chemical / Process Engineer. Process engineers often think on the ‘big scale’ of systems of different components working together. Also, there isn’t always a clear answer to technical questions in process engineering. My ESTJ wife is also a process engineer, and I clearly see how in some areas I can solve problems more naturally than her. On the other hand, there are many aspects of the job which I hate and she just gets on with.

This discussion have got me thinking that i have to rethink my carer and education goals or at least how i can play to my strengs in them.
So, i am an INFP on my second year in university as a mechanical engineering student. I do strugle with math and programming, but i also know that i have alsways been a slow learner but once i master somthing im much better to use it than others, becouse i always consider evary alternative option. I do think im a quite sencing person though.
Also i plan to only do a bachelor in engineering and then focus on product design. With our big perspective thinking we are great at keeping projects on the right track, and being the once who make the specialist work able to comunicate. So i gues i realy am planing a bit like Elon Musk, a broad education and working as an big picture guy to lead a company in the right direction.

Thanks for lots of sharing here ❤️. I'll just reply to this comment. 🙏
I think it's important to have ambition and interest/ passion. This two are really important to both INFPs and INFJs. I'm glad that you have a plan. As long as you keep that interest and ambition within you, you will be driven towards whatever industry you choose to be in the long run.
However, keep in mind that this is a discussion. We still exercise freedom on a regular basis. So don't be too influenced or affected by my videos 💔💔💔.
I wish you all the best, and honestly admire to your ambitious career and future endeavours 😍😍😍 👍👍👍 🕺🕺🕺

It's a great opportunity to develop shadow functions mainly Ti and Se. I recommend studying others ways of doing engineering (Te) then create and refine your own methods and systems based on that (Ti). As going straight to Ti tends to be much harder than Using the aid of Te first For INFP's

Turning 48 next month... still procrastinating on beginning my Water Management certificate. Is there a possibility that i could go to college one day to become an environmental engineer? I could always read fiction, write poetry, draw, read my oracle cards, or endlessly scroll social media while i ruminate (as a hobby). Hell, Im beginning to wonder if im really an Infp-T enneagram 4w5???? Or just a traumatized individual who didnt have support or opportunities in life. Either way, Im luckily accessing a math and science website now. I want to believe that anybody can do anything they set out to. But.... Id be better at giving input once i get into my groove here....and pick up momentum in doing this. Anyway, good luck. Dont let anyone tell you you cant do this. People want to believe you cant. So, you got to show up and present yourself differently.

Hi! Thanks for the video! How is your progress so far? I tried to find INFTs who succeeded in Endineering at Quora and other forums. I got a Bachelors at Computer Science ten years ago but never enjoyed it or really understood, so I have worked zero days in tech, switching to Hospitality instead. Ten years later I am tired of overworking with weird schedules and beying underpaid in this industry. I am considering to get back in tech, even though I an struggling to convince myself that I can do it.

Progress? Well, I've just started my diploma. It is not even work yet. HAHAHA. But general advice here: If you hate your job, you should leave. Considering you've already worked 10 years in hospitality, I believe that you have also been OVERTTHINKING about your decisions FOR TOO LONG. By the way, hospitality industry is still going to be around. You can decide to hop back into hospitality. Give it your best shot. Just make the switch NOW! All the best! 😍💪
      Cheers mate :)
