I don't usually post comments on CZcams, but I just really felt like saying I really love your dedication to the band and to keeping their music alive. I have been learning many of their songs through your videos (although admitedly trying to find some easier ways to play some of the chords), and hope someday I'll play them well enough to post on CZcams. Stephen made me want to pick up the guitar again, and your videos are helping me not to lose this motivation. Keep up the great work :)
10:26 I just managed to finally get hold of a Jaguar Blacktop HH as well, so this video was timed so perfectly. Took the advice of opting for thinner strings and restrung it with 9s. Stephen had to have used thin strings too, really helps with the Her's tone. Also makes everything easier to fret and more gentle on the fingers. The Jag itself is incredible. Feels so comfortable to hold, and the shorter scale helps a lot with the big stretches in Low Beam and Blue Lips.
Hi Matthew, just wanted to thank you for teaching me to play all of my favourite her's songs. They're still my favourite band and even though theyre gone, I still cant find anyone else that I would rather listen to.
Hey man I just came across ur channel and I love the videos man! Any chance u could do a tutorial for the hers sound on the boss katana? I have the same one and I’m very curious as to how u replicated their sound so well! Thank you :)
Here it is! Mighty Slinky 2228 (8.5-40) Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings: guitarcenter.smart.link/0d5tbbro8?producturl=/Ernie-Ball/Mighty-Slinky-2228-85-40-Nickel-Wound-Electric-Guitar-Strings.gc
I know Im late but I ended up switching to 9's a while ago as everything I play/write is very chorus and reverb heavy too. I feel like the tone is much better and you dont lose a lot of the low end like I did when I tried 8's. Just thought Id give you my input!

You make their songs look so easy, just like Stephen did. Respect to you for carrying on their music in the way you do

never thought that some nights teaser would be as hype as it was, that guitar tutorial is on the same level as Bigfoot and the Lockness monster
