Damn. This band came up a lot in my playlists and ended up defining an entire era of my early 20's. Listened to them so much without ever looking into the band, and as time went on, thinking they had just never followed up on making new music. It was only recently that I was reflecting on some nostalgic memories that I finally looked them up and realized what had happened. Now their songs hit a hell of a lot differently. It's almost as if Her's saw me through being young and stupid and is now also coming along on a different journey with me.
I remember it was my birthday and I walking on a nice snowy day and this song started playing on my phone out of no where and it was one of the most beautiful moment in my life. RIP Her's your music is truly magic.
I first heard there guys on a Spotify playlist in early 2017 and I was hooked. Their latest album “Invitation to Her’s” was my by far my favorite album of the year and I listened to it nonstop for months. I still can’t believe they are gone. I cried as if I lost a close friend.
