Same! I’ve been learning for years from boyfriends and reggaetón but I haven’t actually taken Spanish lessons. It’s really nice being able to understand what she’s saying because of my exes’ and their families but I’ve always loved PR and wanted to learn Spanish since I was like 7 😂
PROUD TO BE PUERTO RICAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same
You should you guys rock
@@omricabaza Thankyou
I’m Puerto Rican and it’s been hard trying to learn about my culture and native language, this video helped 💕
what are good ways to learn
For the next video can you do a "you know you are at a puerto ricans house when..."
Katya Lysenko yeah
That one is a good one
Yessss
Puñetaaaaa 😂😂🇵🇷💪🏽
Official LillyBaller Funny that Filipinos use puñeta a lot too.
💦🍆
Puñeta is my favorite 😂😂
Portuguese people also say it, but we write it Punheta. It also means to jerk off lol
I guess that would be Chingow to Mexicans. I do say that one a lot.
“Carajo” is by far the funniest..😂 when you are arguing with somebody and they are not making sense Hispanics are quick to tell you “vete al carajo” which was an old sailors term used to denote the crows nest perched on the ships main mast to lookout for other ships and rocks..basically those who were useless or inept where sent there😆
Karlos DeBunk MY MOM SAID THAT LIKE 15 TIMES TODAY 😂😂😂😂😂
We usually say "vete PA'L carajo" instead of "vete al carajo."
Maravi Yoso Exactamente puñeta! 😂
Maravi Yoso
Vete al carajo too
Maravi Yoso this is why precisely the term was invented 🤪
30-40 years ago, "puñeta" was considered the most vulgar & intense curse word of all! Would raise eyebrows and you wouldnt considered very classy if it came out your mouth...However, it was the very last curse word used and you KNEW this person was PISSED beyond reasoning. Im actually surprised how loosely and commonly its used today even in day to day conversations. How times have changed!
Ayee Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 who is puerto rican here
me
Donde estan los boricuas!!
donde estan las gatas
WEPAAAAA🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Donde estan Oakland
Yoo
🙋🏽
I am Puerto Rican/ Salvadoran and my mom uses these phrases ALL the time.
I'm Salvadoran/ Puerto Rican too! 🇸🇻🇵🇷 it's so rare to find someone else with the same mix. I love it because it makes me unique but at the same time I do not really fit in anywhere 🙄 I still wouldn't change a thing tho. I'm proud of both cultures and I use slang from both sides.
omg im also Salvarican! lol it's so rare to find ppl with the same mix 😊
🇸🇻🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
I’m Puerto Rican and Salvadoran too lmao
yooo omg i’m puerto rican/salvadoran too!
I'm a Jamaican woman with a Puerto Rican man, ikr common story. Gracias mamita
Great video, as a Puerto Rican from the island it's really cool to see how our vocabulary is the same no matter where you are haha. Also I'll like to point out that Zangano is not really a cursed word and it's just used as a mild insult, is not really considered as offensive. Nevertheless I loved the video ❤ Love from PR 🇵🇷
Well , of course is the same . As a speaker of a language you carry your language with you wherever you go ..DUH! But this girl is not making clear that those words are used by some segments of the population . We know them , but decent , educated people don't go around saying them all the time.
Pendejo is worse to be honest
LA PALABRA ES PENDEJO..😂🤣😂
There are so many curse words that mean several things in Spanish that when someone asks me what it means I gotta prepare myself to read a whole essay.
Could you do a video on how puerto ricans speak spanish (pronunciation)
Fluent in Spanish and from Brooklyn😩
Puerto Rico, en la casa.
Melaza mami😘🇵🇷
This video is so helpful in knowing the real meaning of those words. Personally I have already said these words and never thought these words are fire.
can you do how to dance like a puerto rican !!!
Jayflvcko u can’t dance like them I am from there and is going to be imposible for u to dance like us so no
Bomba, Salsa Y reggaeton are Our specialties😂
Si mami
There are more Puerto Ricans in the states that in the island.
The Puerto Rican’s in the states dance differently than from the Island.
The island Reggaeton dancing is more aggressive yet simple.
Stateside Puertoricans in NYC for example are better at grinding in my opinion, more complex and artistic 🤩
I like your videos!! My friend is Puerto Rican and when I do something dumb she always start saying “ Mira puñeta” tu eres una pendeja “ and it makes me laugh all the time , I love the accent tho it’s different from the Dominican accent !! 💜
Is actually mera not mira
Skull Gamer What??? 🤦♂️ Wrong. Mira is correct! For instance, “Mira canto’e Skull Gamer de mierda, tu si ere’ un gran pendejo! 😂 All in fun.
@@tonytube27 in my part of PR "mera" (spoken) is used the most tho 🤔
You don't know how to definitely translate Puerto Rican language learn it before you say that certain words are so horrible why don't you brush up on the Puerto Rican language before you try speaking it fluently Ms. Garcia.....
As a puerto rican girl raised in the usa, it was hard enough speaking spanish. But then being raised by a CHRISTIAN spanish family, it was harder to learn spanish cusses besides what the kids yell out the window on the bus. So yeah, im here...
Luv you so much! I'm your biggest Puerto Rican fan evvverrrrr!!!!!!😍😍😍🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Proud to be 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
But do you speak Spanish
My wife is Puerto Rican, she'll love what I just learned 🤣
Video idea... talking about slang phrases and words that aren’t really “curse” words but substitutes like “me rayo parta,” “me rantre sea,” “me caso en na,” “diache mano,” “pero que pantalones.” Hahaha I’m already laughing 😂
You're my New favorite CZcamsr! This is good shit to know! I'm heading to Costa Rica in 3 days. I've been brushing up on my Spanish.... BUT THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY!! PURA VIDA 🤙
I'm Bahamian and Filipino and my Filipino mom always say "Puñeta" when she's mad at me or my siblings lmao.
I came here for Spanish obviously but, your English is awesome! I loved it!!
My Mom Is Chilean 🇨🇱. And she says “cono” and “hijo de la gran p*ta” Lol
Glad I brought my notebook. This is vital for my assimilation into the Puerto Rican culture.
bien viajos mi amigo
lmaooo mi mami uses all these words as we’re driving 😂😂😭
Thanks for ur video I’ve learned more words for my Puerto Rican Spanish use now.
My grandma slapped the shit out of me when I said tu madre lmaoo
Yay I've been looking for a video like this! Thank you. More please!
Oh my goshhh my great grandma used to say these allll the time around the house lol this is why I love your videos so much they are so relatable and your personality is amazing!! ❤️
It's 80 degrees and you gotta candle burning lol
We also use "Puñeta"/ "Punyeta" here in Philippines.. when pissed (i use it a lot. LOL) and also, "P*ta" same meaning.. " Zangano" or "Sanggano" in philippines is, Gangster.
I’m Mexican once dated a Puerto Rican guy in high school. I’m from Cali. He stole my ♥️. When we argued I use to curse at him with my Mexican lingo and he cracked up everytime he always said it was a turn on. 😂😂
Great thanks for yourhelp
i love this...I had to watch it 3 times and take notes!
Me cago en na'....that one is very funny!!!!
I would definitely consider zangano as more of a not nice thing to say versus an actual curse word. Like it's very mild.
tafanador iba a decir lo mismo 😂
Ilysm Natalia puertorican ganggg 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 4 lifeeeee
3:23 for me its ''
maldita sea la madre que te dio a luz"
Omg I felt that when you said malita sea la madre 😭
Lol I'm Puerto Rican and it's so funny when my mom say it lol
Omg I love this video más boricuas necesitamos enseñarle a la gente como somos 😁❤️
lol she's so cute
Victoria A yes she is
Lol I hear all of these curse words around my household😂
"Just because I feel like I sound a lot more elegant." 😂
*Zangano* isn't much of a curse word because Puerto Ricans say it ALL THE TIME and mostly never get offended or in problem

Carajo- top or observation mast in an old spanish ship.
Puñeta-the termination done to a sleeve.
Coño-is a word used in Spain and it means vagina.
Just so you know as to the origin of the words.
Also, puñeta in PR also refers to male masturbation.
Boricua 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Proud Boricuuaa🌸
Is it bad that I’m mostly Puerto Rican and I really don’t know Spanish because my mom left my family?
My granddaughter ...her father is Puerto Rican.... mommy is French irish... America from rural Upstate NY.
YESS MAMA GOT SO EXCITED TO SEE YOUR POST NOTIFICATION LOVE YOU BAD BIH🤪💖

Naci en 🇺🇸 Pero me crei en 🇵🇦 por casi toda mi vida y coji un acento
🇵🇦
omg my mom always be saying maldita sea la madre que te pario 😩😩😩😭😭
PUÑETA!!! That one is my favorite 😂😂
I learned the hard way as a kid that words can mean one thing where I'm from, and something different where my cousins are from 😭😂 pendejo, specifically. If you don't know enough Spanish to stand up for yourself, don't learn enough to start a fight, y'all
I am American first with Africa, Native American and Scottish heritage. In school and in Acapulco, I learned to speak Spanish as a second language, and outside the Spanish classroom, I was taught some curse words, prefer not to use them.
“ Go to Carajo right now “ 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
This should be on the PROUD BORICUA playlist.
As a guy from the UK we don't really get to hear a lot of accents other than on TV . I will admit that my one ambition is to have a Puerto Rican woman go off on me and cuss me out . I could die happy after that 🤣
You are so funny! Love it!
OUR BELOVED BAD BUNNY!:)❤️❤️❤️
Proud Boricua 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷 💪💪💪💪💪💯💯💯💯
Carajo? My household’s been saying that since I could remember occupying our oxygen supply
===SEA LA MADRE DE LO’ TOMATE’!!=== 😂😂😂😂 one of my faves!! Thumbs up if you’ve heard it before!
I’m half Puerto Rican and I wish I could speak it!!😭
Faana Leleua AY bendito! 😫😫
AY FELLOW HALF BORICUA WHATS YO ITHER HALF MANN?
Same here but as a kid i frequented half these words lol
When she said “Arranca”, the R is silent. Is this common in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷???
Just Frank it depends on where you are from but yes the erre or ere are more slurred
It's more like a french/german back of the throat rr than the hard R most Spanish speakers use. It's common in the mountains and "en el campo".
@montanerdz Yupp, also “ca-RRo” >> “ca-Jo”, “co-RRe” >> “co-Je”, “RRápido” >> “Jápido”😆😆
Armando A. Rodriguez-Valentin Yeah man, that’s what I’m talking about!!!! Also, the silent “S”
Thank you 🥰🥰
Lol When my dad gets pissed he straight calls you buruwo (burro) aka donkey. "tu es a intellectual buruwo" kills me everytime 😂
Hey , learn to pronounce your Spanish,. That is NOT the PHONETICALLY way to pronounce BURRO . De verdad que eres un burro.
1st like and comment 🤣 #PuertoRicanGang
That lit candle is getting me nervous so close to your moño!
yes
Saludossss 🇧🇷🇵🇷🇧🇷🇵🇷🇧🇷🇵🇷🇧🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
im mexican but i love all my latinos 😌🖤
Wow! I am feeling pretty good with my Spanish cursing!😎
You are awesome! Great job. Missing my home in Bklyn
You miss a place because you hear filthy language ??? Well , I guess that being from " DA HOOD " , you would. SAD.
🤣🤣🤣 So funny! Wish I could pronounce them right..
Me encanta ver estos videos sobre mi isla😹, siempre me rio
Great video!
Love this !!
I’m glad you mentioned the curse words. I’m a new subbie. I remember my parents saying them but I don’t use the words that much. A lot of non-Latinos ask me what some of the words mean after they get cursed at by Latinos. My mom used to say zangano/a a lot. The milder version according to her was someone who was clueless or naive or was always being taken advantage of. When one of her kids did something stupid than she’d loudly say “que zangano.” Un pendejo actually means a pubic hair, so maybe it’s like someone who’s as low or as disgusting as a pubic hair. I was told that a punieta was a hand job. I guess if a man had to always depend on punietas, he wasn’t getting lucky or maybe was a loser. Also a cabron is a male goat. I don’t know how that became a curse word unless it’s because male goats like to hump a lot. I’ve only seen them in zoos or countrysides so I’m not sure. Thanks for sharing. Tere
Now we getting to the good stuff
I enjoyed this so much you've gotta a great personality graciassssss!
"¡¡¡Zángano!!!", Damn I hadn't heard that word used in over 20 years!
Sangano
Omg im puerto rican and i live in NY shook
The feeling of being able to use these bc I'm the only Spanish speaker in my house😂
Wepaaaa puñetaaaaaa🇵🇷❤
You also have to realize that within our cultures, some cuss words for one country cut deeper than in other countries. for example the word "Cerote" to a Mexican is like a joke and you take it as a joke but for a brother Salvadorian, That is a very demeaning and hurtful word that if you say it, it can get you hurt bad. especially if you are from another Spanish speaking culture. Be careful with cuss words, don't be naïve.
